Strange ending? Maybe Murdoch married a murderer? Plot. Twist. That fanfic about Julia being a murderer and all those women we never saw again is coming true!

I liked the episode I suppose! It felt like there was supposed to be a cliffhanger ending but they thought there wasn't going to be a season 10 so they sent in the happy ending to be aired. It would have been more thrilling if we knew Julia was being threatened. But then again it would have been season 7 all over again. Idk this episode was out of the blue! So was the ending!

Poor Worsley! I'll miss seeing his red hair and beard around the station.
Julia is amazing. Not even almost dying will stop her going to Williams aid. That's now two people she's had to kill in self defense over the years. At least she's finally rid of Eva Pearce in her life, though I expect she might be traumatized by what happened for a while.
It was a really exciting episode and I thought it was a great way to close the season. Every one got good things to do and W/J were on top form. Hopefully W/J will finally be getting their house next season and maybe they'll find that child to adopt.

Great finale! I'm happy that it wasn't a cliffhanger either! And because if you're reading this, you're looking for spoilers... Bloodtyping and transfusion for the win! You saved Julia's life through sacrifice. Worsely- I'm really saddened-I quite liked his character and I wanted to see more of him. I lost it with the Misery sendup. I hate that movie and pretty much all torture porn! I seriously couldn't stand to watch it for fear that she was going to break his legs-granted she got the hand, but that was nowhere near as bad as I was fearing. I'll pay closer attention now that I know I'm not going to be subjected to too much violence and torture. Interesting how Eva knew that Julia couldn't have children...and when did she become delusional? Is it just me, or had she previously been bad as opposed to mad? BAMF Outlaw Julia FTW!!!!! I'm a heterosexual woman, but holy shit that was hot! Serious girl crush here... First her man saves her, then she saves her man. Tit for tat. This is the Jilliam I adore! I'm sure I'm missing lots, but for now, this is all I can process. I'm sure I'll have more to say once I've seen it again. I've always been fond of Worsley and his occasional talking scenes. It's sad he was murdered Eva did come across as being quite psychopathic in Incurables. I guess having a year to obsess over William and hate Julia had pushed her over the edge into complete psychosis. I'm not hetero and I definitely found Julia hot as hell in this episode She can be such a BAMF when she wants to be No one threatens her William.

The archer was injured! Have to admit that I wondered if the 'Archer' was going to be Julia. Ok, ok........and if they'd been a better shot, we wouldn't have had the fun fight scene......but still, it is usually only the bad guys who miss....... Julia wasn't trying to kill Eva with the arrow, she was trying to immobolize her. Julia wouldn't have killed her if Eva hadn't still been trying to kill her.

I lost it with the Misery sendup. I hate that movie and pretty much all torture porn! I'll pay closer attention now that I know I'm not going to be subjected to too much violence and torture. I have to agree with you on this. I was very disappointed in this turn in Eva's personality. I've never thought of her as a crazy woman in love: I wanted Eva to be a brilliant mastermind who used wiles to get what she wants. This episode really reduced her character to cliches. Something about it seemed like 2 shows packed into one. The first show was about solving the mystery of who shot Julia. The second show was Julia Rides Out for Revenge. In a way the entire episode was to get Julia into men's clothes and let her rescue William. That's a great visual, but the plot didn't justify it. I also expected Eva to up her game by teaming up with someone: if not the Black Hand, then another super villain from the Murdoch rogues gallery. Also I was disappointed the season ended with a "one off": there was no arc from the last few episodes or a cliffhanger to serve as a bridge to the next season. It almost felt like they ran out of time at the end of the season and had to get the last episode done in half the time. The magic homburg actually had more continuity than Eva's character: when George found it, William was officially in peril. Now if, as Evil Pete suggested, William discovered (and ignored) clues that Julia was a serial killer, that would have been quite a note to end the season on...

It felt like there was supposed to be a cliffhanger ending but they thought there wasn't going to be a season 10 so they sent in the happy ending That's exactly what it seemed like! Maybe this was the anti-Murdoch-in-Wonderland, where the original episode had an unhappy ending, but then they stuck on this happy ending because they didn't want to face a fan riot if Season 10 wasn't yet announced?

Julia wasn't trying to kill Eva with the arrow, she was trying to immobolize her. Julia wouldn't have killed her if Eva hadn't still been trying to kill her. Somehow after all the archer get-up, I expected a lot more action with the bow and arrow.

I guess having a year to obsess over William and hate Julia had pushed her over the edge into complete psychosis. This seemed like a completely different form of insanity, though. I've thought of Eva as more sociopathic: playing a part to get what she wants. The idea she actually did want William weakens her character a lot for me. I also would have expected her to be dressed to the nines and using other men she had manipulated as her patsies. The country dress/cabin scenario and the singing was like a completely different character with Eva's face. This would have been a better episode for me if William was the one in peril the whole time, and the entire episode was about Julia rescuing him.

He loves to build when he is stressed: remember when Julia refused his proposal and he went back to his office and started tinkering with his bike? But this time, he had a real purpose, and he was not going to be discouraged by anyone, not even the Inspector. Another thing that would have improved this episode, if they went with the version that focused on Julia's mystery, is if the machine had ultimately been used to communicate with Julia or read her mind.

Just watched the Atlantic feed........great finale....the Archer could have been a better shot... The archer was injured! Have to admit that I wondered if the 'Archer' was going to be Julia. The title also feels patched on to me. Difficulty in finding a clever title might have been the first clue that the ep lacked a central thread. Now "The Murdoch Misery" would have been funny...

Poor writing in the final episode to many mistakes. It's a TV show not real life! I have to agree that this wasn't a top tier ep. It did come across sort of like a fanfic.

I finished the episode.
Not bad. I felt it was a bit rushed, though. Like it should've been a two-parter kind of thing?
I liked that Julia was the avenging archer, though. That was cool. Although I feel that she really didn't fight back hard enough with Eva. Why on earth did she stop after one arrow?
I'm not sure what else I can say about the episode. I'm not sure why killing Worsley was necessary, unless he walked in on something he shouldn't have seen. That said, Worsley was hardly even a secondary character in this show, so his absence in the future will hardly be noticed.
