I've been thinking about this, and I don't think the murderer is necessarily connected to the debutantes per se, or someone trying to remove them from competition. I think first Ruth and then Faye knew something they weren't supposed to... I think it was Rodney's friend, whose name I do not know. But I don't know why he's killing them. So there you go, it'll probably turn out that I'm wrong.

In the opening scene at the ball W is about to ask G if Rodney Strong is a homosexual when G cuts him off. I've come to the conclusion this is the clue. As you know I don't usually make predictions however as you have already said it, here's mine. The murderer is Rodney's friend who is gay and in love with Rodney and doesn't want him to marry. Well, we'll see what happens in the next episode but I'll probably be wrong too.

There's a part of me that thinks this is quite true, that maybe Rodney and his friend are gay, and that one or both of them are the murderers. But then I remind myself that they already did that in season one, so maybe that's a bit of a red herring. Don't get me wrong, I think that clue is important, but I wonder if that's really it.

I also predict that Nina's brothers business burns down. Who knows? Maybe it was an insurance scam?

Well I was half right. Yeah, when he was so agreeable about her past and the lack of her fortune, I figured this had to be a business arrangement. She was okay with being his beard so long as he tolerated her fooling around with her boy.

Random thoughts from this week's episode:
Tell her off, Julia. Come on baby, fight!
Really, you cut scene here? Grrr.
Brax isn't even going to try to stop William from going into the fire. He knows it's futile.
Really, you just sent her off to the hospital? It wasn't an emergency anymore. Or are you at her, William because you know she was trying to kill herself?
Julia! You'll tell Rebecca but you won't tell William? Geesh you two need to be locked into a room. Or maybe a jail cell, there's an idea for you Brax...
I didn't think Higgins felt empathy. Good on you. Wonder how long this will last?
If William is confessing personal matters to Brax, shit's serious. Has he ever done that before? No, really. I wanna know.
Come on William, go after her. Don't back off. Of course you did. You're at her and worried about her at the same time and once again, you're not going to say anything. Be a man of action!
But way to reel her in on the psychiatric angle.
Well, they didn't let any time go to waste there. Lady Atherly moves fast. Methinks business arrangement.
Way to go with the catty remark, William and finding love. Was that intended just for Rodney, or to Julia as well?
Oh, an affair with a gardener.
Is it just me, or was William slut shaming?
Did William just invent a peephole. Methinks you've done that before, William. Oh, wait. Your honeymoon.
Okay, did he find her body in the room?
Ohhhhh, he found young Lady Atherly with the gardener. Perhaps Oh, perhaps the gardener isn't quite so past tense after all. How long did you watch, William?
Oh, there must quite a twist coming. Something's not quite right.
If kissing another man's wife were a crime you'd have done time, William. Notice how they keep mentioning that?
If he loved you, he would never have let you marry another? Ouch, Julia. That was a zinger. Methinks William and Julia need to have another argument and resolve some issues. That or have a serious talk, which you two don't seem to do.
Well, it turns out that young Lady Atherly is the evil one. Okay, I knew there was a twist, but I wasn't expecting that one.
Yes, it is your fault, Lady Atherly. Not directly, but... you created this monster.
Brax has known Henry's been a tool for years. Hahahahaha.
Okay, everybody can relax now, Henry's back to being a douche.
Overall, I didn't like this episode as much as last week's, but not a terrible one either. Perhaps I had my expectations too high after last week.

Q: What can you tell us about next week’s episode?
A: George may be on the way to finally finding love, Julia may be on the way to being healed and Murdoch may well be on the way to a crushing mortgage.I'm going to go with one of these three will actually happen, and that will be that Julia is on the way to being healed.

I thought for a moment that these remarks, especially the one about marrying another, was going to lead to something. They certainly seemed fine and dandy at the end of the episode! What is going on... On an unrelated note, I did notice some adverts hanging up outside advertising mortgages! Maybe they will get a house this season! (finally)
