An elderly drifter is found washed ashore, near the docks, with a whiskey flash clutched in his hand. It looks like an ordinary case of a drunk meeting an unkind fate. However, during the post mortem Dr Ogden discovers that the man was a teetotaller. Murdoch inspects the flask and finds a hidden compartment containing part of a coded message. A man comes to the morgue to identify who he claims to be his father when the case takes an odd turn. The investigations point to political conspiracies being uncovered and nobody is surprised to see the reappearance of Terrance Meyers.

Ah, I'm impatient, too! Guess I should be productive and work on my personal statement. Then I bet the time will fly by. That's what happens when you're having fun, right?

Now it's finished It was sooo good! Only one scene with Julia in, in the morgue. There were some really funny parts with Crabtree again! In one scene they are talking about secret compartments and George has an idea to have one in his book. He says about having it in his story and then he says he could have one in the book, maybe to hide a smaller book. aha I should really have remembered exactly what was said! Also this is the episode with George going in the water in his diving suit! The Prime Minister came to the station house too. The only thing is, I'm sure Prime Minister Stephen Harper was supposed to be in this episode as the clip in his interview has the PM coming into the station house. I will have to find out about that. Update: I forgot to mention that Murdoch invented Sonar!!

I agree, another great episode. Myers was in it and for once didn't work against Murdoch. By the end of it, I think they quite liked each other, or at least had respect for one another.

Oh how weird! They Photoshopped Harper out?! I was thinking someone would probably complain about a sitting PM/Pres being in a TV show.

The scene with Julia was a chemistry filled one though. The moment when she was showing him the stab movement definitely had some heat going on. I liked the scene a lot.
Good episode, compilcated plot to this one. Nice to see Myers again. I just love how between them William and George have invented most modern things lol

I was going to say even when there isn't much air time with W & J what there is is usually great! I love even the little tidbits. It makes it feel more natural/real as part of the general life of the station.

Yes, I feel that way too. I would love more scenes. But one nice scene is still enough. I love how well they work together. They fit professionally and personally.

What a fun episode! I'm going to have to watch it again to catch a lot of details but wow. Very interesting subject matter for me as a history buff. I loved George early in the episode, esp when he was trying to cross himself like Murdoch! I've been there since my husband is Catholic. I loved seeing several actors from Road to Avonlea, too. I've been hoping Richard McMillan would show up. And it was great seeing Terrence Meyers again.

Yeah they totally cut the part with Harper. The man with the beard was always there they just cut the very beginning part of the scene that had Harper in it. So the part with Crabtree and the flask was hilarious. "I love secret compartments, they're so mysterious. I've thought of adding a secret compartment to my book. I mean to the story, not the actual book itself. (eyes open wide) A secret compartment *in the book*. Think of it, you could hide something inside the book... like a smaller book..." Hee-hee. I also loved the scene with Julia and William when they were discussing the skeleton. W says " Was there anything else?" J: "This is pile of bones, William. Consider yourself lucky we found what we did." I couldn't help but think that was sort of a metaphor for their romantic relationship. At this point it sort of is just a pile of bones, a relic from the past, but luckily there is still something there to be found.
