Wow documented "bro hugs" - that should be in the Super Geeky Guidebook! Let me know if you find a link to that article! Interesting that those relationships were depicted by artists: that means there must have been some ancient and/or celebrity model that they were echoing since there was also the big backlash to the whole Oscar Wilde culture... Should have said photographs instead of pictures - sorry my bad. Rewatching all the seasons in preparation for Season 9's release on the Acorn website, and just noticed something that made me chuckle. When Giles is talking with Brackenreid, and the two exit Brackenreid's office and go to the front desk, there's a police hat sitting on the desk that I believe is Giles's - it's not a constable's helmet, and Brackenreid doesn't wear official uniforms at this point. When Giles leaves at the end of the scene... he leaves without the hat.
