Yeah, totally agree to all of this! I don't know what happened from S5 finale to S6 premiere but some how I actually like the idea of Gemily now. Maybe I was just super excited to have the show back or maybe they actually had some chemistry for once. Not sure, guess I'll find out come the next ep.
Again, totally agree! It was refreshing for him to be more spontaneous for once and not so refined and proper. But I still wonder if the writers are gonna kill Darcy off for convenience sake. I hope they don't go this route though cuz it would feel like a cop out.
And regarding Higgins, I kept expecting to see him show up at some point. I think he might have been in it, in the background playing with the boys but probably it was just an extra. I hope Emily isn't going to be taking over his screen time now that her and George are gonna start being a thing.
Also, is it just me or did the women all have very poofy hair? Not that I minded or anything, I'd only be annoyed if the men started following that trend to.

Very happy that you agree with the things I say PedanticPedestrian Someone will need to teach me how to do the box thing but your last sentence cracked me up as usual: " Also, is it just me or did the women all have very poofy hair? Not that I minded or anything, I'd only be annoyed if the men started following that trend to". I think for the women there might historical accuraccy with their change in hairstyle and the new century arriving; the costume department of the show said that the 20th century brought new ways of dressing for women and they had to adapt to that so I guess it can be the same with hairstyle.

I really loved the first episode. I believe that the William/Julia love story will not go smoothly. They just gave us a teaser of what could be. I don't think that annulment is going to happen without a lot of work and anxiety and doubt (on William's Catholic part). Great to see Brackenried back in action, he was very funny. How many time did he say, Bloody hell? It was awesome. And George...still in alien mode with the pig. Just great!! I was very happy that they brought back James Pendrick. I love his character. Hopefully Murdoch can stop accusing him of murder!! LOL Can't wait for next week's show.

It's quite simple, you just click on quote instead of reply and the whole post will be in box form. However, if you want to quote just a single part you'll have to so this manually, which is also quite simple. All you do is write [ quote ] before the start and [/ quote ] after. Now keep in mind, I put spaces in-between the brackets so I could illustrate this. Interesting, very interesting.

I saw the episode last night and i loved it!!!! William seems so much open with Julia, not as stiff as he was and I really loved their interaction Strange that Darcy agrees on an annulation because he looked not so pleased when he saw William and Julia together.... Conclusion for me: I'm glad that aviation has made so much progress during the century !!!!!!

You gotta be kidding me! Lachlan (Higgins) isn't listed as being in S6! WTF?! Guess you can't have everything. We got the show back but lost a great character.

That first episode was awesome!! Loved all the William-Julia scenes OF COURSE!!!! But I don't think their relationship is going to be that simple even if Darcy agreed with the wedding annulment. It would be too much easy!!

Well, I went on IMDB after people were commenting on his absence and it says he's only in 53 of the 70 eps. Granted he wasn't in every ep ever but out of the ones listed, none are from S6 (well it said he was in Murdoch Air but obviously he wasn't). But since that info was wrong maybe there's a chance he's still gonna be in it.

PedanticPedestrian, thank you so much for teaching me, I'll do that next time!!!
CBCMurdoch on twitter has confirmed that Lachlan Murdoch (Higgins) will indeed be in episodes in the 6th season, that he is not listed on IMDb can be normal, they don't have all the episodes of the season yet so I wouldn't rely on this site too much for complete accuracy!!

Yeah I realized I might have jumped the gun (again) with the Higgins thing so then I asked CBC if he was coming back and that would be the tweet you saw. But I couldn't get on here earlier cuz my internet was down and so you stole my thunder.

Oh, that's good that Higgins will be back. I loved George with the pig, and even Thomas' reaction was hilarious. "Bloody hell, you're not saying?" William: "No sir, I do not believe the machine was under the control of the pig." Also I loved how William was was sympathetic to George when Emily confirmed the pig was "earthly." Yeah, women's hair got poofier in the Edwardian period. ETA: Did anyone else think it was funny that of Pendrick's competition only the Wright Bros were not severely injured from their attempts to fly?

Sorry I'm a bit late to the party.
I downloaded and watched the pilot episode of the sixth season (hehe, see what I did there?) today, and I JUST finished watching it.
I must say, I really enjoyed it. It was fascinating and exciting.
There is ONE issue I had with the episode, however. And that is, that the whole Pendrick thing is getting a BIT tiresome.
Now don't get me wrong. I like the Pendrick character. James Pendrick is a fascinating character. But I hate the fact that he's always getting the raw deal. He's an intelligent, scientific man who could create amazing things, if only events didn't constantly conspire against him.
Before the episode was even five minutes in, I knew this was a Pendrick episode. And I didn't need to read a synopsis to tell me. The mere presence of the flying machine told me as much.
I very much like the idea of William and Julia getting married. I liked the fact that the episode opened with a dream.
The whole thing with the inspector joining up with the army was...well it was interesting.
Terrence Myers is a conniving bastard. I want to like him, but it's not easy. Especially the ending where he tries to take possession of Pendrick's new airplane.

I think they've already done that. Which is why he doesn't seem to care that Julia's willing to lie about the marriage being consummated/kissing her all over the place. I think the writers had to go the annulment route because they dug themselves into a corner and short of murdering Darcy, or Murdoch completely revoking his religion, they had to do it this way so that Murdoch would be free to marry her (Catholics don't believe in divorce). But I have a feeling that it won't be so simple and indeed, if that's it for Darcy I will be quite shocked and disappointed. (Don't get me started on how unbelievable it was that he agreed to the annulment in the first place). Yup. But it was classic MM. It's always a bit hoakie so I loved it for that reason. Haha! Good point! Um, maybe he saw him well enough before they took off? He had real good eyesight to get so close to shooting them over and over and over again. ;D What bothered me was how Myers et al just magically appeared out of nowhere only seconds after they crash landed! They couldn't possibly have known exactly where to be beforehand! Like I said before, I doubt it's going to be quite so simple. That would be a good idea for a storyline but they've done that one before. I.e. S4 finale. I think if Darcy is fated to die, it will be from a contagious disease of some sort that he picks up from the hospital.
