Aw, don't be - Brackenreid has been spotted alive and well on set for Season 8. And wedding bells are ringing! I guess it's more of suffering from withdrawal, vice depression. Maybe I'll watch again starting from Season 1. Seems like a number of fans have watched this series more than once. MM just gets better with rewatching. The acting is better than you think, and you start to ascribe a lot of character development. Go ahead and rewatch them all! If you can, rewatch with friends!

I rewatched this episode again the other night and really enjoyed it. -Murdoch's sarcastic response to George's Haitian Zombies theory was just priceless. - snacky why haven't you done a break down analysis of the tie scene? -I felt that the Gemily scene at the end was rather forced. And just awkward. It reminded me some of the 'Hold Me' scene at the end of Snakes and Ladders. Except at the end of Snakes and Ladders it felt fine, as Julia's life was threatened. But here all the 'zombie' did was grab Emily's arm, and try and eat her. She at was doing just fine defending herself she didn't need George to rescue her. -Emily looked so 'mad scientist' when she was holding the brain. Honestly I just wanted her to say "I have BRAAAAINNNSS! BRAAINNSSSSS!" -We also need to give some credit to Brackenreid & George's 'Break Out the Armory' line -Yes Murdoch. Lets show the world how clever you are by confonting the mad scientist in the dungon with his minions. What a great idea! Yes let's show the said minon that is strangleing you your dectective badge! Like that's going to stop him! -That ending scene with Dr. Bates and his "zombie" you have got to admit was pretty edgy even for Murdoch Mysteries

There is endless discussion of this tie scene, but it's scattered the heck all over - probably mostly under William character discussion. But yes we noticed the tie twiddling there. What I didn't catch originally - and one of the newer members of the forum pointed out (I forget who) was that William wasn't just being coy about the tie there - he was trying to hide his neck bruises from Julia. Breaking out the armory for the zombie armory...that's so classic it might belong on a cellphone ringer. Good catch about the death of Dr. Bates - that was surprising! I was sort of sad to see him go, though. He was kind of another Dr. Creepy like Dr. Roberts before. Now there is no Dr. Creepy!!!

He probably really didn't want to admit to Julia that he had done a dumb thing (confront the 'mourderer' in the basement of the jail) and almost died. But still the thing going though my mind when I saw it was "OH GOODNESS SNACKY AND THE TIE THING". So feel honored. Okay phew. For a while there I thought I was the only one who thought Dr. Roberts being borderline creepy as well. Maybe we'll get another 'Dr. Creepy' at some point....

Wait, why am I getting all the blame for the tie thing? Isn't FallenBelle the Mistress of Tie Twiddling? I'm in charge of Magic Homburg worship!!! Gosh, MM is so wasteful of its creepy doctors. Don't they know a good thing when they have it? *mourns Dr. Sexy Beard*

He was eccentric!

It's that combination of thin and pasty/pale with a mind that's just a bit too analytical...you have to wonder whether he would prefer to be doing those vivisections of rats on human beings. Sooooooooo creepy! Why does MM keep killing off the creepy doctors? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

Well, MM would be crossing the line of known science if they actually revived Dr. Roberts. They've avoided breaking the laws of physics thus far. On the bright side, maybe there's a Dr. Sexy Beard Twin out there. The first human clone!!!

I, Murdoch? A ten foot tall animatron (or whatever the hell it's called) is pretty fantastical, especially since it was operated by a midget. And the death ray was pretty fantastical too.

MM bordered on fantastical! I, Murdoch? A ten foot tall animatron pretty fantastical, And the death ray. All within the laws of physics and period. Who didn' t think Tesla was working on a death ray? This is part of why science fiction evolved when it did and there is a genre called the Edisonade. I will give you the mole machine though. That whole episode is sk Freudian that I'm not sure it's "real" though.
