I liked his character at first but then when he kept escaping with the only intent to mess up Murdoch's love life, I got tired of him real fast. If they had left it at MiT and no more, I would have been massively cool with that but they had to keep beating a dead horse in increasingly ridiculous ways. Anyway, if he's in tonight's ep, even if it is only a nightmare, I'll probably scream as loudly as Murdoch. I agree - I wish Gillies had an agenda worthy of his intelligence. Or perhaps it was worded wrong. His obsession was matching wits with William - the obsession with his love life was just that he regarded that as William's achilles heel. He was probably right on about the gay kiss as well.

It's funny how these questions seem more personal for some actors than for others, though. It probably depends on whether they are single or not, hahahaha. Anyway, I really like that MM did that, because it's true that nothing would mess with William's head more, and we should all be questioning WHY it would mess with William's head...

I believe Gillies is alive. I didn't see any previous posts about this fact...Here's my theory: I mean really, who's that stupid?! Have they never heard the fact that he's killed people just for the fun of it, let alone to cover his tracks?! Any thoughts? Besides the fact that I think everyone on this forum wants him dead... I'm in the minority in that I think the identification of Gillies' body was such an anti-climax that I'd sort of like to see him alive just so we can have an actual EPIC episode with the death of Gillies. But again, I'm very much in the minority because everyone else is sick to death of his sorry mug. Except these seem to be a few fringe folk who ship Wiliam/Gillies - omg, GILLIAM!!! Such angstmeisters! I agree wholeheartedly that James Gillies was a brilliant, pyschopathic villian. I further believe that he had something of a man-crush at least on William's intellect if not more. Eeeeevil child has made a good point. Oh hell, I just realized that Gillies first escape was a miracle near-death-by-drowning so why not again? My need to believe Gillies is dead lies in my need for William and Julia to have some happiness, at least for a while. Must go whip eeeevil child with wet noodle for leading me into this train of thought.

Just for that I will tell you my REAL first reaction to the promo: OMG William gets shot/beaned and can't remember the wedding and/or Julia -THAT'S the writer's dodge!!! Is that why Georgina cried at the reading? Noooo- too cheesy. Anyway, not possible in view of the suffragette arc.

I'm going for William adding POTUS to his ever-growing list of grateful world leaders. His appreciation results in major room upgrade for honeymoon .

That was almost the storyline in Revenge! xD But that show is 80% soap opera so I hope MM toes the line.
