This episode sounds so exciting and filled with danger and suspense. I can't wait. It also seems like it will finally bring a close to the notorious James Gillies, and progress will be made in the Jilliam area of Murdoch Mysteries.

I wonder if Julia will get a chance to confront Gillies about killing Darcy and letting her go to the gallows, etc. Pretty certain they did not have victim statements in those days but nothing to stop Julia from being a forerunner of the concept. Wonder if HE actually makes it to the gallows? I hate to wish away my days but it's really hard not to when a story gets interesting.....sigh

I really hope Gillies actually dies this time. He has almost gotten as bad as Pellant in Bones was. Not fun anymore just irritating.

I'm just going to express my appreciation for Michael Seater's talent, before I retreat to a corner and think about my life.

All I can say is ugh. That pretty much sums up my entire feelings about this episode.
I did laugh hysterically at the end because it's exactly what I predicted would happen. And I don't just mean him escaping again.

Did you think Gillies was going to kiss him?

I knew the kiss was coming. One, I'd always suspected that Gillies and Robert Perry were more than friends. Two, the large amount of cross dressing and dolls cemented said idea. Three, I follow Michael Seater on Twitter, and way back, he made a tweet about 'going in for the kiss on the railway tracks'. This was around the same time that we knew A Midnight Train to Kingston was being filmed. I figured it was an in-character thing, and didn't feel he'd plant one on just anybody. I had two theories, the first being that he would kiss Murdoch. The second was a disguise thing- he'd kiss some unsuspecting woman with his back turned to the gang, hoping they'd overlook him. I felt I had watched too many spy movies when I thought about that. XD
So, no, it didn't come as a surprise to me. In fact, I laughed quite a bit.
I honestly don't believe he 'loves Murdoch', or whatever after watching. I think it was a distraction technique. Gillies is clever and quick-minded. He knew it was over, and he used what would shock Murdoch most, knowing that not much else would faze him. I'm not saying he's not attracted to Murdoch in some way- it's probably from that which he drew the idea- but there is no way he has proper feelings for Murdoch. He's not capable.
Again, Michael Seater was amazing, and rather good looking. I feel guilty for thinking that, but it's true. XD
Oh, and Julia got her smack in, several times, with Gillies and with defending herself. I did hate how Gillies had the upper hand in their confrontation, though, I'd have loved to see her unsettle him.
Excepting George, the policemen suck in this episode. Enough said about that.
Honestly? I liked this episode. It was tense and unsettling; I hadn't a clue what Gillies was up to, and I enjoyed all of the performances from the cast. I'm not going to say that I hated it, just because Gillies escaped against my wishes... I didn't. I enjoyed it thoroughly, moreso than the Murdoch Trap.
P.S: According to Monkey Lair Labs, no moose were harmed in the making of this episode. XD

Did you think Gillies was going to kiss him? Lol, no. I never saw THAT particular thing coming. I don't know who could have. But I was almost certain that it would end with Gillies jumping from a high bridge and then they wouldn't be able to find the body. It's been done to death so many times and was the LAST thing I wanted to happen!

I made a bet about it. When I sat down, I was like, "ten bucks he's going to make a move on Murdoch."
My friend's response was that I should seek professional help.
