Episode title information found on CBC Murdoch Mysteries Facebook page I can't wait to see that one! Though William seemed to be doing some kung fu already in some episodes, like when he disarms the Bad Nurse in Victoria Cross.

I have a picture of Crabtree actually doing Kung fu, hence the title... Glad he finally got his name in a title!

I saw the previews on MURDOCH MYSTERIES Facebook. If I well understood MURDOCH suggested that GILLIES must have been injured after his fall down the river, that he must have needed help to remove his handcuffs and therefore somebody must have seen him. It makes me think that GILLIES might have needed some help to walk for some times as crutches or... a cane? I say that because I saw a man walking with a cane behind Julia; a man who seemed to follow her during her investigations. I even said that it was GILLIES.
I can't wait to see CRABTREE in (KUNG FU) action. But where is his sidekick, Henry?
Good joke: MURDOCH on holyday! I like the characters of Mr and Mrs BRACKENREID.

Thanks for pointing these out! George's assumption of chopsticks expertise was hilarious.

I thought overall it was quite a funny episode. George was in fine form, learning and practicing Kung-Fu (kudos to all the people involved in the fights, it was highly entertaining and the visual aesthetic was fantastic) and the Brackenreid's were hilarious (however just a tiny thing, having Margaret coming in the middle of a dangerous fight was a bit "cliche" for me but it didn't deter from my enjoyment of this storyline). Regarding the other plot (the one I'm mostly interested by), I do believe (maybe I'm naive) that it is finally the end of James Gillies and that William & Julia can finally move on from their long and suffering ordeal. Yes the body appearing now after just being discovered might seem a bit "too easy" but I was just so annoyed with the Gillies' storyline that as long as he's out of the picture for good I'm happy. Leslie Garland deserves way more punishment for sure than being sent back to Buffalo and I'm having trouble believing that Emily couldn't even detect something was amiss with him but if that means we can move on from all the Garlands' storyline as well then I'm satisfied. Only 2 more episodes to go, this is getting interesting!!!!

I hope that really was Gillies and he's dead. I was sick of him. Though with MM you never know. Not surprising about Leslie Garland being the culprit and the reasons why. The writers were kind of obvious about that. With two episodes left I have a feeling everything may not be all settled just yet. But I'm not worried about W/J.
It was nice to see George be a fighter. And Brackenreid and his wife were entertaining.

And Brackenreid and his wife were entertaining. I'd say that's "a wrap" for Gillies. The bullet Emily found in the arm of the body (smart girl that and good memory!) and William's being able to match it to a bullet fired by the rifle George used to shoot him last season, points directly to the body being that of Gillies. Good riddance! Jonny mentioned in an interview that the writer's did a great job of spiralling the J/W and the G/E storylines by the end of the season. I assumed at the time, that he meant one thing would lead to another would lead to another...etc. That seems to be what is happening as, with Julia booting Leslie out of town, it clears the road for both couples. Assuming George does decide to try for a relationship with Emily again. I think Emily has learned a lesson in both choosing men and relationships by watching Julia and William workiing together towards a common goal and by finding out what a cad that good looking, smooth talking Leslie turned out to be. Sweet, gentle George probably won't seem so boring to her in the future. I'm not sure what to think in terms of the ending of this season but I'm going to just sit back and enjoy whatever happens and meanwhile will hope and wish for a renewal announcement next month.

I really enjoyed this episode. I found the ending a bit anticlimactic, but other than that, it was very cool.
The fight-scenes were pretty epic. And the whole culture-clash thing made this fun. Mrs. B. showing up the boys at using chopsticks was hilarious.
China ca. 1901 was a boiling pot of trouble. The Boxer Rebellion was extremely controversial.
By 1901, Hong Kong had been a British colony for almost 60 years (ever since 1842). So English-speaking Chinese wouldn't have been that unusual. By the same token, there were foreign legations, consulates and embassies in many major Chinese cities. Peking, Teintsin, Shanghai, Nanking and Canton, to name a few.
It is gratifying to know that JG is dead. Although I perfectly understand Murdoch's paranoia. And how they dealt with Leslie Garland was wonderful.
Also...I love Brackenreid's spectacles. Gold! Ooooh...I wish I had a pair like those.

I have a guest here who won't let me get to my Murdoch Mysteries episode. Are you saying the Julia-stalker plot line was wrapped up in this episode? I can't wait to see it!!! T_T

I just thought of something, I don't remember seeing William cross himself when they unloaded the corpse at the morgue or inside the morgue. Oh well, another excuse to go back and watch the episode again
