I love the idea of a contest! I'm afraid fashion is not my forte, but I would definitely cheer on you two! I don't think Julia will be getting pregnant anytime soon though. My assumption was that her uterus was damaged beyond repair during her abortion. The thread is probably long buried by now, but there are some medical advances at the time which make it juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust possible that there could be a plotline where Julia tries for artificial insemination or otherwise tries to repair whatever got damaged during the abortion. But too many of the angsty plotlines revolve around Julia. I'm still voting for excommunication for William. XD

Yikes...I would think she would terrified to undergo another procedure like that, especially after nearly dying following the abortion. As far as William's excommunication, I'm afraid I'll have to quote George: "We'll have to agree to disagree on that, sir."

That could work but the poor thing would be alone at home a lot! And for my 100th post, my prediction is that Julia will, in fact, get pregnant before they get to an adoption!! That would make me a very happy camper . Gratz on your 100th (now 106th) post "Full Member" (deity-in-training)! I can see a scenario where William finds a hurt/lost dog somewhere (it may even have some crime-solving skills!), and it won't leave him alone. He can't get anyone to take it, so he finally takes it home, where he tries to hide it from Julia...but to his surprise, it turns it out Julia likes dogs. (Or she finds it and tries to hide it from William). Sort of an O Henry story with a pug dog in it.

I think the plotline you're thinking of, snacky, would work better with George, considering he's already an established animal lover. I think William comes across as one of those people whose animals have to "earn their keep." But either way, I'd like to see it happen!

Your imagination is running amok snacky, lol. The pug has to end up with George. Besides, a cute dog is a chick magnet.

Haha, you guys are great, but I fail to see the cuteness in a pug! I think the retriever-mix George already has is cute enough

Julia has enough worries - she doesn't need pug bait to top it off. George can have the pug. Ps. @annie - it's this particular pug. He's professionally trained to be ultra cute. He also serves as a therapy dog. twitter.com/IgorPugDog Also he's a big fan of MM and begged to be on the show for many months. He made a very brief appearance in Blast of Silence while the mayor was hooked up to the bomb (beside the Mayor's children).

Not to be cliche, but Julia just needs a nice cat that will curl up on her lap and let her pet the stress away

I've been thinking throughout this whole pug thread that Julia strikes me as a cat person, lol.

I've been thinking throughout this whole pug thread that Julia strikes me as a cat person, lol. William seems like rule-bound dog person. Julia seems like a free-wheeling cat person. I see potential for a marital spat!

I could see William with a more exotic pet, like a nice bird or a reptile from some far away land. They would appeal to his sense of discovery, but also wouldn't suffer if he forgot to feed them one day in his all consuming pursuit of crime fighting.

Or we let the animals have the spat while William and Julia head upstairs.....

Aw, I see I'm not the only one who likes to torture William. D: That's an interesting thought about the exotic pet. I vote for the reptile so William can discover a "dinosaur". MURDOCHOSAURUS!lovemondays - with some of the hints we've been given about William's predilections, I doubt they will make it upstairs very often. XD

Stairs and couches work too! What can I say...I have some really pent up fanfic ideas but no talent for creative writing.
