And some more. Actually I'm really liking these small flowers (the one on the end...)

But really the only thing that counts is the zipper!

Ooo...I like the last hairpiece because it looks like it would match with the shoes! -Whoops, I was just looking at the first page...so I like the last one on the first page because it matches with the shoes -

Love the cathedral! The photo of it against the modern city was beautiful...it's nice to see that something that old and storied has been able to hold its own against the rise of a modern metropolis. Since Julia doesn't seem to have any particular religious convictions, I don't think she would be opposed to a cathedral ceremony. The Orient Express is an interesting idea. On one hand, I think William would love the culture and intrigue of the Paris-Istanbul route. On the other hand, William can be slow to accept change so getting him out of the country might be challenge! (And yes, that was the headpiece I was referring to)

On the other hand, William can be slow to accept change so getting him out of the country might be challenge! It's about time for William to start exploring the world, though he might be a bit intimidated by Julia's greater experience in this respect. We know she's been to Prague and Vienna. (and presumably William read all about Julia's adventures in Prague). I think William will suddenly become more peripatetic at Julia's side. Home is where the heart is. The best part is a train mystery would be a cheap way for to "fake" a European honeymoon! This sort of thing would take months, though. It definitely couldn't take place in the near future, given the circumstances of the Season 7 finale.

Woah! Look at all that stuff I never knew about wedding cakes! That's awesome Judging from Julia and William's personalities, I would think they wouldn't want an elaborate cake. The fresh flowers you mentioned would be nice, since it would dress up the cake without actually adding intricate designs or complicated patterns. Their wedding probably wouldn't be huge either, so I can't imagine it would be a very big cake either.

But since William has been trying so hard to upscale, I don't think he'd want things to look homespun either. They'd probably shoot for "simple but classy". Understated.

I can't remember which thread had us discussing potential wedding venues but in my MM binge this week I realized that the first episode, "Power" was filmed at Allan Gardens! That is still my first choice but now it has the cachet of bringing the story full circle, at least in terms of location.
