What? I can' t see images - I'm out and using my kindle. It's side by side pics of William and Julia. The caption is "the perfect match". The kicker is his pic is the tshirt one you love from last night and in Julia's, she is tightening her tie as well. I think the caption should be "the ties that bind". Fallenbelle is going to flip! It had been a long day, and William just wanted to eat dinner, take a bath, and go to bed. He was exhausted. As he walked in the door, he was greeted by his wife-which was nothing unusual. However, what was unusual was her dress-or distinct lack of it. She was wearing one of his suits-which fit far snugger across her curves, and one of his shirts, the top four buttons undone. There was obviously no corset either, the outlines of her breasts clear against the crisp white cotton of his shirt. She also wore one of his Homburgs perched jauntily atop her curls, which tumbled down unfettered across her shoulders. However, most remarkable was his favorite tie, which she wore half undone, and stroked firmly with her two hands. "Good evening, sir. Detective Murdoch reporting, and at your service" she replied. He swallowed, loosed the tie around his own neck, and pounced. Baths, meals, and sleep were promptly forgotten.

Ok I have finally read through all of this and I agree about Julia's character growth, William's Bambi eyes and the absurdity with Mrs. Kitchen. But I have to admit that I find the thought of William building a house super hot!!!!!! He would not be wearing a suit. He would be using tools! He would be sweating! Ok I may be a bit weird but I like the picture in my head! Plus I found that incredibly sweet. Just as I found Julia's comment about marrying "all" of him so sweet I screamed. My husband got a real kick out of seeing my reactions last night as he always watches with me. Agreed about the preview dress. Yuck! Also agree that this next ep. will feature lots of nightmare scenarios (at least I hope so). Agreed about the sweetness of the house building gesture-he can't buy her a big house, but he's talented with his hands, and can build her one-plus, he used to be a logger -so probably good with wood as well. But the problem is, he's a busy man and it'll take him years to do that. He's also clueless about how Julia will also be making considerable demands on his time as well. The kicker was he thought she'd be okay with moving into his bachelor pad for years while he built a scaled-down Pendrick mansion their dream house. Edit: while I certainly didn't intend it as such, this post is quite dirty.

That will give him a chance to get all manly and sweaty for her, and give them a private sheltery place to celebrate with nookie after.

Plus, Julia can sit in the yard in a lovely white lawn dress under a parasol, while sipping iced tea, watching manly, sweaty and hopefully even shirtless Wiiliam supervising the work.

It's way too hot for that. She will probably start shedding clothes.

Julia is wearing far too many clothes. IMHO you should subtract a few layers but keep the tie!

I think the tea and crumpets table hit William right in the manly parts.

He was obviously tempted, but it looked like he could not stomach the moral qualms. It was only when Alice was murdered that she began to cooperate with Murdoch in his investigation. He still would not sleep with her, but she had more respect for him for it. Did William have any qualms besides moral? (re: syphilis?) Was there any "virgin theory" evidence from the movies? It seems to me if William actually gave thought-out moral reasons why he wasn't going to sleep around, that does seem to contribute to the virgin theory...and might even canonize it.

Didn't seem to have qualms other than she was a prostitute and he a cop. Didn't notice any virgin theory but we know from the books, and the movies were pretty close in most ways, that he had saved himself for marriage with Liza, not surprised from her photo!! The only sex was in a dream and that was with Dr. Ogden on the morgue table.

The only sex was in a dream and that was with Dr. Ogden on the morgue table. Wasn't Dr. Ogden even younger in the movies (and older in the books)? Was anything holding him back from dating her in the the movies? I'm treating the books as a separate universe. That William Murdoch wasn't such a cutie!
