If I did write something later it'd probably be more like Julia getting revenge...and then the pranks getting increasingly out of hand. ROFL - I'm laughing already!

Was Julia especially sad (William needing to cheer her up) or was William just paranoid about not being funny? William was paranoid/jealous that he told one of the jokes of the show to Julia and she didn't laugh. Yet, when they get to the show, she thinks it's hilarious! "It's how you tell the joke". For that moment on, William was scheming to make Julia laugh. Aw - the poor guy couldn't act either. Also didn't Inspector B recently get tripped up when William unexpectedly made a joke...?

Wait, a staunch Jilliam shipper actually wants Murdoch to cheat on Julia with an ugly ass man dressed in drag? I think someone needs to write fic that somehow makes that little video canon. Somehow. But yes, all of them. CRACKFIC!!!!That video is easily canon if you treat it as a component of William's unconscious, a "dark place", perhaps influenced by a case where he dealt with someone in drag. This could easily be dredged up by hypnosis.

The Gedna scene was hot! Beautifully shot, beautifully done. I liked it, and I remember when W/J used to have scenes like that. I guess Gedna's the new focus, and if it's hot like the final scene was tonight, I guess I'm okay with it. But, I miss hot William/Julia. I agree we need to have William & Julia in the same kind of scenes, they are very cute together especially playing jokes on each other but they can be very very steamy as well Wow - so maybe I was wrong about MM being able to support only one central ship. I must see this scene with hot Gedna!

Guess what, it's Murdoch/Enid from the books all over again. Sounds like it...except hopefully George isn't hiding books on how losing his virginity would work under his pillow...

How could we have forgotten this gem? "It's too early for jokes. Too early." Nice one. Plus, nice touch about how so many comedians don't actually write all of their material.
Also, George got William a chalkboard for home use as a wedding present?

Also didn't Inspector B recently get tripped up when William unexpectedly made a joke...? 703 bothers me because we know from S5 that he CAN in fact act quite convincingly! I thought Anna really was dead the first time I saw it because of his reaction. Julia knew he was pretending too...so her laughing at him in 703 really bothers me. But I suppose as is the case with this ep, it's more delivery of lines that he's bad at. Showing emotions is his forte, ironically.

Also, George got William a chalkboard for home use as a wedding present? Yeah, leave it to Henry to be inappropriate. Yes, I'm sure it was chalk full of cheeky references that we didn't catch. Probably cuz he knew he'd need Murdoch's help solving murders while they were away on their honeymoon. Or it's their baby brain child.

Acting and telling jokes are two totally different skills and not necessarily interchangeable. Telling jokes is all about the timing as is comedic acting, some have it and others don't. William was good at dramatic acting in SotWS2, his jokes seem to fall flat.
