Well they've certainly kissed before. I was expecting at least some passionate liplock, and possibly the need to clear the top of a desk. After all, William did just save Julia from Leslie Garland... I would have liked a Murdoch in Ragtime style kiss afterwards, but we did get unimpeded tie play. I'm happy with that-for now. That was tooooooooootally fan service, and I think it's all for you.

he just looked suggestively at her when she stroked the tie-no attempt was made to stop her. I think Yannick was channeling James Bond for a minute there...

Okay, now that I've calmed down a bit, I found it interesting that William tells Leslie "I'll take the badge off" when talking to Leslie and then mentions the law of the jungle bit that Brax had mentioned.
Is this the slightly darker aspect as well? William won't just blindly believe the law is just and a black and white issue and now acknowledges shades of gray? He doesn't tell anyone about the pin, and he promises only to report Brax if he feels Brax has been unjust, or something along those lines.

Oh I'm happy to have it, but I can't claim all credit for that. That's psychology 101-tie equals phallic symbol

It's like William's moral compass has shifted a bit. He has spent quite a few seasons learning not to be overly rigid about the law. But now he seems to be teetering on the edge of making the law optional. Brackenreid has been further out on that edge for a long time. So will William go too far in the wrong direction?

Well, is he starting to see what we've already known? The law is not always just, justice is not always given as it should and perhaps the greater good is served sometimes by looking away? This is indeed going to be interesting to see this develop this season.

By the way, I just saw watched the previews, and it looks like they are going to deal with the church issue that Carco and I went on endlessly about!!!!
