So apparently that Egyptian lady is back and getting kindy cozy with Murdoch...it'll be awesomesauce if Julia finds out about this and gets uber jealous.

Fun episode with a lot more research done than I would have expected. The ending is quite shocking. No Jilliam at all though which was disappointing as I wanted Julia to get jealous. Doesn't look like there'll be any Jilliam next week either as they are out in the woods again. Julia was barely in this ep except to make one short speech. I don't like this marginalization. Hard to say if there's any Lemily stuff happening or not. Haven't given anything away yet, assuming they do at all. Anyway, I enjoyed the ride and George's allusion to Murdoch as the swashbuckling introverted hero of his latest story. Who also happens to be afraid of butterflies. xD Oh and I loved the continuity all the way back to the first season! That was awesomesauce!

An interesting episode. I enjoyed it. Lots of things in this one to chew on. A bit spooky in places but I like this kind of spook! Great to see Dr. Bajjali again although the end was unexpected and shocking. I like the woman. Rather out of character for her and the exchange between her and William in the end was like a battle of religions. Hmmmn. Did William just cast a spell on what family he has left to him??? OMG! . Poor Brackenreid kids. Go to spend some time with Pa and end up fishing up something for Uncle William. George again with all the research and clues. He does read and write a lot for someone who barely made it to grade 4. I thought William was supposed to be The Intelligencia! I always thought George was smart but they keep trying to have us believe he is a goon which he is not. It is obvious that the writers are clearly keeping Julia from Police Investigations. This is not looking good. She didn’t have much to do here either .

A very interesting episode-I agree with Ziggy-lots to think about here.
Poor Brax. He just wanted to go fishing.
A stick in the mud?
I thought Emily was going to run…now it’s Margaret (like we knew it would be). Did I miss anything?
No Julia/William at all. Plus, I agree with CC-it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting any next week either. This marginalization of her character is really starting to sit uneasy with me. I'm starting to get nervous.
Also, is it just me, or are the writers setting the table for marital discord? Julia’s nowhere to be seen, and meanwhile William’s entertaining another woman in their suite-a woman I would argue he’s still attracted to.
A woman he gets to work with…is their not working together at all this season deliberate? Just wondering, mind you…
Dr. Bajjali was indeed interesting, and yeah, I didn't see that ending coming at all. Not with her anyway. But as soon as George mentioned his theory, I knew someone was going to drop it and discover the real thing underneath.
To be honest, this was a great episode, but I can't help but feel anxious over Julia. Maybe once I have time to reflect I'll get over it.

I always thought George was intelligent and well read-just a little too prone to the fantastical. While I think he needs William to keep him in check, I also think William needs to be more open-minded like George. They're a good counterbalance to the other.

I could scream with frustration!!! The writers are doing an arc this season about equal rights for women, yet the ladies in the show appears to have less and less airtime as the episodes of this season go by. This is getting ridiculous and I will give my opinion about the episode a bit later (which frankly didn't do much for me) but right now I'm steaming. This was a show that wrote about complex and interesting female characters and now their story lines are relegated to less than 5 min of an entire episode!!! Plus they keep having Julia & William apart in episodes….are the writers so afraid to write about a married couple that they avoid the situation at all cost!!! I'm not happy and getting pissed off with what they are writing lately!!! x(

This is not looking good. She didn’t have much to do here either . Well, I guess they were just trying to make an ode to the final Indiana Jones movie. The blonde haired lady couldn't let the cup go and then she died. If William's faith has been wavering recently I suppose it's reinstated full force now. That was literally the hand of God, not a 'fake' version as was seen in the temple. I could be wrong but I think they keep changing the kid actors. Last season the eldest boy had straight blond hair. This season he had curly brown hair. And they've changed them before that too! What gives? I'm really glad he's writing another book. His ideas are always entertaining. Perhaps this will lead to another webseries even? William Murdoch and the Temple of Death. It seems like her having issues with a corset is the most we'll be seeing of her for the rest of the season.

Also, anyone catch this tweet? That would've been especially awkward if he biked up in nude attire a la the latest sia vid. He could've played the demented man though.

I'll put up with a lot of bad episodes and silliness but that's the final straw for me. Yeah, Will is always so shocked when anyone agrees with his theories. It's kinda annoying actually since no one ever questions his ideas...and George is always saving his ass. Rather ungrateful.

I guess he's courting her via telepathy with that big brain of his. Good point. That is rather ironic. Or maybe it's done on purpose? It's supposed to be about equal rights but they just didn't have them and we all know they're not going to get them either.

Oh and one thing that kinda annoyed me was that no one even mentioned using x-rays to check if George's theory was correct or not. But I guess then they couldn't have had that ending.

This show used to feature strong women-showing them as the antithesis of Victorian female ideals either good or bad, but now, it seems to be relegating women to minor roles. It's not just Julia, but it's also been Emily and other women as well. Cecily was a strong woman, but that's about it for this season. Dr. Bajjali was showing real promise, but she's dead now. No, I'm not jumping ship just yet, but I'm worried for female characters overall. If the writers think a few mentions of suffragism equals strong female characters, well, I beg to to differ.
