George also expressed disappointment that Ruby found it easier to write under a male nom de plume. Right after that she decided to write under her own name. Women were so alone with their ambitions. It would be wonderful to have Ruby come back to Toronto to cover the escalating suffragette 'situation'. Except she's just a woman therefore incapable of reporting events accurately.I bet she does so "in spirit" - Julia or someone else might reference an article or even a book written by her on the subject of suffrage. That could work very nicely. It's too bad for MM that Sarah Gaddon is so busy. Good for her though!

If the Prime Minister can make time for MM, so can she.

Also the neighborhood where William's boarding house was. And, if possible, a low-rent suburb where William might have been planning to build the dream house?

Hmm, I've said before that if they want Emily to end up with someone, it should be a male feminist...but I don't think George can be one because of his job. Wouldn't he end up having to arrest himself? No Houdini required. But you can be a feminist without throwing molotov cocktails. Something Emily will probably do eventually. He can just lend his support, and stand up for them as needed. Oh I suppose...but it's not nearly as fun. But if he does get more involved in some capacity, I'm afraid he will end up with Emily in the end.

IMHO it would make MM very "EDGY" to give Emily a sapphist love interest. Hint, hint. #CrumpetGate #AppontmentTV

Could conceivably work on this one if someone would throw me a bone.

I think the nature of the order-shifting contributes to your womanizing theory. They might be doing the editing just to make sure there are no continuity conflicts (like mentions of dates or prior events). I really hope this doesn't lead to any haphazard choppy edits or loss of good scenes, though. Another worry is that producers might have heard "add women" over the basic consensus of "mystery first" - which would mean we would get more "character development" scenes at the expense of the mystery. It's possible scenes pertaining to the mystery would even be deleted. I think the way we all want the women in there is as active protagonists in the mystery story, not as side dishes. Well, we'll see what happens.

Well, we'll see what happens. Agreed. But the writing team for this season seems to have largely regarded the ladies as an afterthought ( no, I don't think it was deliberate- I'm not calling them #meninists yet- ) and not much may be able to be done about it at this point-the season's in the can. I'm curious to see what they're going to do with the edits/postproduction. TBH, I've lowered my expectations considerably for the remainder of this season, and I hope they do a post-mortem on this season and regroup next season.

The trailer that was shown at the end of Monday's episode is now up on the CBC site (so it could be seen properly) and one of the characters will be Brackenreid's nephew, Charley. He is wearing a Station House 4 uniform, so I wonder if he will be a recurring character.
Cheers
