It would be harder to arrest them, too. Very bad "optics" for a good-press-aware Inspector Brackenreid. Remember how he felt about the Lizzie Borden case? He was willing to let all future female ax murderers off the hook because of that!

The problem is all those squealing fangirls chasing after George! lol that's what i jokingly said too... but i think more likely it'll have something to do with the suffragettes Perhaps George becomes a male feminist? He's already stated that he thinks people should be able to speak their minds. His ensuing support creates a maelstrom of girls who are dying to get to know him better. Henry, seeing all the attention and girls George is getting from this, decides to become a feminist as well. Because, girls. Only, they smell the insincerity in him, and it backfires-epically.

I liked Brackenreid's version better as well! Anyway: CRY HAVOC AND UNLEASH THE SCHOOLGIRLS OF WAR!

George is just way ahead of everybody on everything: I'm sure feminism is included in that package.

Wouldn't he end up having to arrest himself? No Houdini required.

He can just lend his support, and stand up for them as needed.

Right after that she decided to write under her own name. Women were so alone with their ambitions. It would be wonderful to have Ruby come back to Toronto to cover the escalating suffragette 'situation'. Except she's just a woman therefore incapable of reporting events accurately.
