Hodge has still been fired even if he hasn't gone to jail - I think he loses his pension no matter what. But I'd like further enlightenment on that point. The real issue is burying the body and covering up the murder. The victim was a fellow police officer who might have had friends and family who missed him. Covering up a murder is a crime in itself. No one noticed he was missing because he had no friends and family. Not saying that makes him okay to kill, but no one will be arguing for a stringent sentence. I have a feeling the boys of SH4-including William will argue for leniency for Hodge. Maybe in the end, knowing what he did, maybe even they have Hodge resign before he's charged so that he does keep his pension, etc. They still do this in the military. I see. I don't know how the military works, but if there is such a "work around", I'm sure Inspector Brackenreid would come up with it. And that would probably take some of the pressure off of William as the Internal Affairs "rat" here. MM will probably never let us know, but darn I'm curious.

It's possible-we only know he was going to be charged with manslaughter-we don't know that he was convicted. Maybe he gets off...anything's possible, I guess. But I doubt we'll ever know. I have a feeling we will see him in the pub. He will probably be merry, like nothing happened. The little matter of the pension and an ignominious end to a lifetime of service will never come up again. As long as Hodge saw his buddies from the Station House regularly at his pub, he'd probably be fine but he wouldn't be seeing much of William I suppose.

That's sad in itself, because William probably saw Hodge as his Grandpa, too. William would probably want to go to the pub for tea. Or a Spruce Beer. If he was welcome. But then Julia would be grouchy - William would be late for dinner since he's out carousing with the boys!

But we often take people for granted and miss them when they're gone. Hope this doesnt' become another thing that William holds inside and lets it eat away at him. No, he can't let Julia get grouchy by making her eat alone in the hotel dining room! She has always been his sounding board and now he's got her to go home to every night and and talk it out. #dontmessthisupwilliam

I'd love to be able to write but ideas always come to me at inopportune moments when I can't get them down and then when I can the idea either won't come back or won't come back in it's entirety. I've given up hope of ever getting anything down on 'paper'. Tape recorder, or I guess, a digital one? And then when you have time all the thoughts are still there. I figured out my phone has a voice recorder. Only took me two years!

He would have also fetched items for people. You know how William takes advantage of people to do the scuttlework. William will just have to invite Julia to come have a beer with the boys. #waveofthefuture #worldsfirstflapper

If you watch William closely enough, perhaps you can pick up some tips. William better be inventing duct tape soon! I know it's going to happen! #incarnationofmacgyver

William always has some project or experiment on the go where he needs volunteers to do the legwork or whatever. Would be more likely that Julia would invite William to come have a drink with the boys!

I use it on landscape most of the time. I still end up correcting every other word. I proof read everything I write.

I proof read everything I write. But if you're making quick notes, you don't have to be grammatically perfect...easier said than done, however. When I first joined this forum, I didn't have a computer-just my iPad which seems intent on autocorrecting things to some strange words, and it still does. Strangely enough, it really only seems to do it here on this forum, and I don't understand it.

I would never put anything "discreet" on a phone. Just look at what happened with all those Fappening pics! The Hipster iPad rules!

Would be more likely that Julia would invite William to come have a drink with the boys! Then what might happen is that Julia is the first to visit Hodge's pub to smooth things over, and then she lures William over for a drink after making sure no bar fights will break out.
