I didn't catch anything spoilery, but it was hard to hear them. Thanks for posting this! Interesting to see the actors at work. A view of the shop -some say even bridal shop- from the outside and from the inside: ow.ly/i/6Y5QiLadies, William will finally learn something about women in this case, something that George already knows for once thanks to his many aunts: woman can kill another woman just for the last available fashionable blouse during the sales periods. The murder weapon: a corset. Of course, William need to make a little experiment and so he will need the help of Julia... just in the name of science.

This bus ad was also on the Twitter feed: They are kind of pushing this "something to hide" tagline, aren't they? Maybe William really does have something to hide! Yes, he does: he is a virgin! LOL. Or maybe William will finally say to George: "George, I am your father". More seriously, if he really has a secret, I don't have any idea but I hope it will not too much big just to make us think that the great detective William MURDOCH is finally just a man/human being like others with his strengths and weaknesses. Indeed I like to think William is very special and even a little bit strange/odd. And according to me, it's precisely for this reason that his character is so endearing.

View AttachmentHaha, I'd prefer he'd not hurt himself to deliver the goods, though. Luckily William is about to marry a doctor. Julia will take care of him, heal his wounds and kiss him where it hurts... but not without scolding him before! ;-)

I didn't understand why GILLIES kissing MURDOCH could be used as a way/trick to escape and now I think I couldn't understand because of a lack of a general culture. For the first time today, I heard this quote: "Ce qui ne peut être évité, il faut l'embrasser".* This is a quote from The merry wives of WINDSOR by William SHAKESPEARE. It sounds -at least in french- like a explanation according to me. Indeed if GILLIES literally -LITERALLY and not metaphorically: "embrasser" means "to (french) kiss"**- applied this quote, it could explain to me the mean used by the writers to allow GILLIES to escape from the grab of MURDOCH. GILLIES was stuck, he can not avoid the gallows and so the death and he literally kissed MURDOCH.
* I couldn't find its translation in english so I do my best to translate it below: "What can not be avoided/prevented, it must be kissed". ** We French don't make the difference between "kiss" and "french kiss", because we just have one word for the two notions and it's "embrasser".

I think that MURDOCH starts with adjectives which make Sarah PENSELL and us think that their relationship is strictly professional. As he did, it was as if he wanted to convince himself. And then he gradually realizes that Julia is more than a coworker, that he is physically attracted by her and therefore he finishes with "beautiful"
Ooh that's an interesting way to look at it - maybe William came to realize more about himself as he played "word association"! What do you mean?

I think she'll keep Dr. Ogden professionally, and Mrs. Murdoch privately. In more modern times, I think it's possible that she would have hyphenated. Maybe. So she will be Dr Julia ODGEN-MURDOCH or Dr Julia MURDOCH-OGDEN?

I agree on both points. Julia will retain the name Dr. Ogden, but William will adore calling her Mrs. Murdoch in private. She might call him Mr. Ogden in retaliation, though! It could be funny but I've always had the feeling that it was Julia who wore the pants in their relationship/couple and I'm also afraid that one day, she will slap William in his face just to check if he feels something. I like that Julia is a strong and modern woman who fights for her opinions -and that's why she must retain the name Dr OGDEN- but sometimes it makes me think that William is intimidated by her and therefore he remains too passive. I thought that hearing William call Julia Mrs MURDOCH could be a demonstration of his affection that she could enjoy and also a proof that she was able to let her walls come down. Men like think that women need them, LOL . And if she called him Mr ODGEN, it could be funny but it also could make William feel belittled and demeaned .

Hello everybody! The great detective William MURDOCH, is he or is not he a virgin: that is the question.I read a lot of comments about this topic and as I think that we will surely have a clear-cut answer* to this question in the next season, I propose that you give a definitive answer; answer only based on the MURDOCH MYSTERIES TV show. However you must not leave a comment**, you just must answer by: - "William MURDOCH is a virgin". or - "William MURDOCH is not a virgin". Then later you will can say to others: "I knew it!". *(At least I hope . If William is still a virgin, it surely will be mentioned, won't it? ). **(You can insert a smiley if you want to. ). I think you will be inspired and awed by FallenBelle's answer to this. Ps. William is a virgin, though he's probably pushed the envelope of that quite a few times. I reserve the right to change my mind. I only changed it this week from Not a Virgin to Virgin. Please, no quotes and no comments! I know it's not easy but play the game and just answer!

The wedding day is approaching! Julia didn't bear the name of Darcy GARLAND but she didn't really explain the reason(s) why. If she did, I don't remember. I suppose that it was her choice/decision because: - she didn't want people to make a confusion between Dr (Julia) GARLAND and Dr (Darcy) GARLAND. - she is a doctor; a great accomplishment of her professional life and also as a woman. - she is a strong and independent woman. - she knew that she made a mistake and bearing the GARLAND's name reminded her her mistake. - she didn't really love Darcy -or at least- she didn't love him as much as she loved William. - she was still in love with William. But I also think that the character Dr Julia OGDEN must remain Dr OGDEN to give William a last hope that one day, she will be his wife. Now Julia and William are engaged however I don't think she will bear the name of MURDOCH and I don't want to. Dr Julia MURDOCH hurts my ears. But I'm not against hearing William calls Julia -in private - Mrs MURDOCH or when he introduces her -with pride - to the people met outside their work environment.
