You really wouldn't want me in a bathing top......if I wear shorts at night, you will be able to read off of the shine from my white legs...
I also hope to go to the MME....My costume will be the Bloody Hell t-shirt I won at the Murdoch Pub Night, presented by Brakenreid himself...no corset required.....
Sort of strange talking about boats, etc, given I'm watching the news and there are pipes bursting from the cold all over the city.....
Cheers

You may actually like Pernod with OJ, it reduces the intensity of the anise. I'm happy to try anything, but I have a fully stocked bar here just in case, lol! Sounds good to me but there aren't that many alcoholic drinks I actually like, other than wine, Pernod, vermouth.

Ok Here I am after a long absence. My favourite season is definitely summer, because I have a big garden. I really do not like the cold we are having now. Hubby and I just went up north to Meaford this weekend to see a concert and do some snowshoeing. It was my first time, and I actually enjoyed it! That said, I am happy to be sitting at home today beside my sunny patio door watching the world go by and reading posts, so I can relate to you Lovemondays. A fire and a glass of wine would be awesome right now, but we do not have a fireplace. At least I have MM to look forward to this evening!
And I can look forward to seeing some of you in a few weeks!!

I have a drink filtering spoon...generic I guess. I have no idea whether or not absinthe requires it's own special one. If so, then I don't have one. . I stand corrected. Anise and licorice are different plants and flavours, but as I dislike them both, they are interchangeable to me. As for trying absinthe...anything to further my MM experience ! The spoon will probably do. If you don't like anise or licorice you won't like absinthe and you won't like Pernod which is really just a less alcoholic absinthe without the wormwood. I drink Pernod with orange juice and ice, I'm not keen on it with water as the French drink it but like you I'll try the absinthe as it has sugar dissolved into it to sweeten it a bit. The thing with absinthe is the ritual, dripping ice water over the sugar cube into the absinthe which changes from clear to opaque with the water. If we don't like it that way I'll be a heathen and put orange juice in like my Pernod!! I still have the Matahari absinthe from my birthday (I rarely drink), and I cheat by dropping a couple of cubes of sugar in it and letting them dissolve for a bit. Then I just sprinkle some water in.

Once you're back on the dock, anything goes!! (My neighbours already know I'm nuts...they caught me sunning on the dock in a bikini at Thankgiving a few years ago ) I have 8 seats in the boat...first come, first served! 4 seats are already spoken for...

The pub co-belongs to a former Murdoch crew member and they hosted a Monday night showing of an episode in November, attended by Thomas Craig, Lachlan Murdoch, Kristian Bruun and Arwen Humphries.....the pub is quite small and it was absolutely packed...they've promised to do more.....
Cheers

I thought about going but the location is just so polar opposite on the other side of the city. Add R.I.D.E. programs everywhere then there is no point going to spend an evening in a pub and plan to drive home. (No, public transit is not an option for that distance for me late at night.) I am so glad you had a great time!

Yes, I took the TTC as I am not going to drive after a pub outing, and it was quite the trek, especially since there was a diversion on the streetcar.......but it was a lot of fun and the actors were very good sports, mingling well and poising for pictures.....now that I know where it is, getting there won't be as bad next time......sorry for the fuzzy picture, but here is the evidence....

Looks like fun! It's great that the event was packed...makes the actors more motivated to do other events!

If you love Britain in autumn you'd be overwhelmed by eastern Canada. There's nothing more spectacular than Ontario and Quebec in fall, it takes your breath away.
