Prior to abolishing capital punishment, Canada only hung 13 women, as opposed to nearly 700 men. Also, only roughly half the convicts condemned to death were actually hung, so, even if she was sentenced to death, there is a very good chance it would have been commuted to life in prison, although it appears she was found not criminally responsible, either at her trial or on appeal. I'm sure we are about to find out. Cheers In the MM world crime and punishment are very much inflated, though. Toronto has a murder or two every week!

But we have a long way to go before we catch up to Cabot Cove or Midsomer........
The point I was making was, even though Murdoch caught numerous murderers, the reality would be that very few of them would actually go to the gallows.....correct me if I'm wrong, but we've only actually seen hangings take place in one episode, Hangman, from season 3 (which, interestingly enough, was on CITY TV this evening.....). Murdoch threatens suspects with the noose, but that was warning them of the maximum penalty, especially if they don't co-operate......
Cheers

No episode title is given however it is in the schedule so it should be on regardless of the episode.

But why aren't we getting a new episode Monday why in two weeks can someone explain this Sorry, your post is really hard to read in this colour, I had to highlight it to read it.... There was a post somewhere, can't remember where now to look it up, it mentioned something about editing so maybe they're behind with post production on the later episodes.

William looks a tad worried! Well we were complaining about the lack of 10% darker........ I hope there is some serious angst. I was very disappointed William didn't worry over Julia at all after the corset HE PUT ON HER almost killed her. The angst-loving audience was ROBBED I tell you! ROBBED!!!

Is it just weird, or does anyone else suspect that the remaining shows have gone back for re-edits in light of criticism regarding female characters?

Is it just weird, or does anyone else suspect that the remaining shows have gone back for re-edits in light of criticism regarding female characters? Interesting theory! Now that you say that, I'm wondering... Good thing this isn't a U.S. discussion forum so people won't call us out on being Woman Truthers! Another theory - perhaps they were waiting to see how the audience voted on Lillian Moss for how they went with her character...? If that's the case, I'm kind of bummed because the audience has been pretty harsh. I'm still in the Radical Relationship corner, though!
