Do we know if they did this in previous seasons? This may just be normal procedure. The order jiggering seems weird to me, but perhaps no one was watching last year. We've had trouble setting out the forum threads from the start of the season because of withheld titles and order shifting. I don't think this was so confusing in the past, but I never set up these threads.

In speaking of schedule jiggering - am I reading correctly that The Incurables won't be airing tonight after all? !!!!!? Twitter is very hard to read on a Kindle Paperwhite, which uses e-Ink instead of pixels. So don't panic - I could be mistaken. If I'm not - WTF CBC???!!!! What's airing instead?

This was a lame move on CBC's part. The MM guys were trying to build momentum on the women, and CBC pulled the rug out from under them. Communications fail. Furthermore, CBC knew at least yesterday because they answered a tweet letting someone know that the next new ep of MM would be Feb 9. Seriously, it is a big fail to not let the MM tweet team know that because then their teasers will mislead the audience and leave them with unresolved curiosity. For that issue alone, if the show weren't already sold to CBC, I'd say the MM producers should hoist a pro-fan pirate flag and air it as a webisode.

The CBC announced this over a week ago and 9 February air date has been on IMDB for some time......Murdoch Takes Manhattan was shown tonight. From what I understand, the delay is on Shaftsbury's part and not the CBC, although I may be wrong......

Not sure why they're behind unless it had something to do with Helene's injury.

I guess I am confused about the dates - which is utterly possible since I've been very busy lately. Is this the same day we were already speculating what else must be on? Still, it does undermine the momentum that Team MM needed to rebuild on women.

Not having my own Twitter account, I always assumed this was an "official" Twitter account of some sort, but maybe it's not. Since they were baffled by the CBC, I assumed they were "officially" from Team MM, and not from the CBC - thus the tenor of my posts. Which are meaningless if that's just someone's random twitter account and not an official anything. Anyway, who said Shaftesbury caused the delay?

Yes, @mmfpofficial is a fan page with contacts.....it seems to be well connected, but I don't think it is a direct source....and if there is post production/editing work being done, it would be by the production company......

Last week, this episode was pushed back to next week and a rerun was to be shown tonight. Mind you, it's speculation, but I wonder if the remaining episodes were again exclusionary of women (perhaps unintentionally) once again-and based upon fan reaction, they've gone back to editing. Maybe they realized our concerns were going to repeat themselves again in the remaining episodes-the shows were still marginalizing female characters. I could be wrong, but that's just a feeling I have. No idea if they've had to take the eps back to postproduction in previous seasons, because last season had an Olympics hiatus.

Shows are finished at least two months before they air. There is no re-editing going on.....

Ooh thanks for the explanation of what they are! Their tweet is what confused me about whether there were communications issues between CBC and who ever does the MM marketing and the production team. Okay, ignore my original comments then.

Which is exactly what we've been talking about. I've been super-tired, hahaha. I just got confused.

Shows are finished at least two months before they air. There is no re-editing going on..... They didn't finish filming until late November, so the later episodes were being worked on while the new season was underway. Also, I believe the re-editing information has come from the official CBC source......
