I'm not going to argue with you there. That's why I was finding it ironic that it was Canada that was setting this high cash bar. I guess we don't want people from the US.... We can't lose sight of the different types of immigration.....people who apply to move and work here have to meet the points system, partly to ensure they won't be a drain on the health care system and other social programmes......I believe this is pretty standard around the world.....however, we also accept a lot of refugees on humanitarian grounds...while this has been open to some abuse (although not as bad as the right wing press would have you believe), we have always taken in a substantial number of people this way and they have gone on to become good productive future citizens...... |

To bring this back on topic, I'm looking into being in town for the MM fan day. My employer is buying my ticket for me, and while I don't think they've bought it yet, I don't know if they'll let me change my dates-which I've already submitted.  I'm hoping I can pull it off! Here's hoping! I just got my ticket for the weekend event!!!! **squealing and happy clapping** Woot Woot!  |

The tickets today are for the weekend event that coincides with the studio tour. Those tickets go on sale on the 23rd. I'm confused...there's two seperate events? Where do I buy the other tickets? The short answer is yes, there are 2 events but they overlap. The studio tour, put on by Shaftsbury is on Sat, Aug 8 only. Those tickets are $15 CDN and go on sale on May 23rd. The tickets are sold by 2 hour blocks of time. The Murdoch Mysteries Experience (MME) will be held on Aug 8th and 9th. It includes the studio tour, a mystery night at a pub, and lunch on Sunday that includes a panel discussion with production people and possibly a few of the cast. These are the tickets that went on sale tonight (for $125). They are probably sold out now as numbers are quite limited. |

Good for you! Keep the rubbish out! LOL! I have some good friends from the US not to mention my B-i-L has lived there for years. I was listening to NPR a couple of days ago, and a woman who just moved to Canada confessed she now lets people pull out in front of her on the highway.  We seriously aren't up to Canadian standards of civilization. |
