With little Roland now with his actual father I hope the writers don't crumble Williams and Julia's relationship. Instead, I hope Julia just becomes pregnant. We really don't know the actual reason she can't have children. It would be a great opportunity to introduce c-sections

I hope the show isn't going there, because George yet again has no chemistry with a woman who works in the morgue. They should try Rebecca and Higgins if they want an interracial relationship, she might have chemistry with him. I am however all for a George and Rebecca friendship, he works well as a friend to the women on the show. It's just he doesn't have any sexual chemistry with them for some reason. George either needs to be reunited with Edna (who was a really good match for him tbh), or a new lady love. I agree. Edna and Simon bring another dimension to Crabtree's character and the show. That said, I would like to see more development of Rebecca's character. Well put. I really hope George/Rebecaa just remain friends, or Higgins and George ask for Rebecca's help during their own murder mystery episode while William and Julia are away. The three of them have great chemistry as friends. I also adore Rebecca's beau in a previous episode. I'd like to see more of them together.

Has anyone heard a date for the S9 DVD release? I'm eager to buy it and add it to the other seasons sitting on my shelf. No date yet but it's usually around August/September if I remember rightly. It will probably be up for preorder soon.

I don't know if you've seen the recent media storm over the 'bury your gays trope' or 'dead lesbian trope', that's been getting a lot of international attention, because US TV has killed so many lesbian/bi ladies in 2016. If you read some of the articles (there's plenty on Google) you may completely understand why various posters were so upset with what happened in Double Life. Why we were angry about Lillian's death, angry at how the Emily & Lillian romance ended, and upset with how Emily exited MM (especially her cliche last scene).
The articles help explain why I hate Double Life, and consider it the worst episode of S9, one of the worst episodes of MM, and the most problematic episode they've ever made. The various posters, like myself, weren't being oversensitive to Lillian's death; there are valid reasons we were upset with the writers/producers. It's a long-standing issue on TV, and I hope MM learned a valuable lesson from the negative reactions to 9x03. MM is so much better than having to rely on insensitive and damaging tropes that writers & producers should know to avoid.
I made this post because it's currently a very topical subject in the media, and it relates to MM and this site.

Has anyone heard if they will be releasing a season 9 blooper reel now that the season is over? Seems like if they were going to do one it would be out by now, but it would be a shame if they did not. Or perhaps they are waiting for the DVD to be released?

Haven't got the exact address, but it is in the Warden, Eglinton area....unfortunately, Shaftesbury has announced that there won't be an open house this year........
