Difficult to imagine Wiliam as exciting in bed. This is a job for a William Fantasy.? Or maybe William invented the Mile High Club? Really? It's difficult? Have you forgotten what forces are held in check by the mighty tie? It would help to be reminded by a tie-swiping fantasy...

there's been a few tweets to yannick about looking fatter...not sure why he responded... Gotta love Social Networking.... Definitely brings out the lowest common denominator. I do think there's an element of character development in play her: the message is William has a satisfying married life. If he looked gaunt, then we'd be analyzing how marriage destroyed him.

Same sort of thing with the my husbund/det. murdoch thing. IMHO, this is to signify Julia is more comfortable in the marriage. She's in a strange position as a strong feminist who values her independence - as Lillian said, she could have served as a model for single women if she hadn't married. Both William and her are struggling to define what a modern marriage means. The fact that Julia calls William "my husband" means they have settled into a happy pattern.

William was practically naked in this ep! Of course the barefoot scene is nice, but I think my favorite was when he woke Julia up to discuss the Last Supper and the apostles and his shirt was unbuttoned, untucked, and no tie! Ooh la la! I love it when writers use contrasts to define their character. William is strongly defined by his buttoned-up look. Undressing him a bit says a lot about the context without a word of dialogue. I'm still not sure why they were barefoot in the park, though! according to yannick, it was the directors decision and he didn't care for it...or his ankles. his social media's been a bit weird lately.

I thought pretty fun episode with the same holes everyone else here has pointed out. A couple of things I've seen on social media I haven't noticed here - one is folks calling out Julia saying not once but 2x how exhausted she was, and reading that she's pregnant, lol. The other is on Twitter someone asked Yannick about the barefoot scene, and he admitted he didn't like it but agreed with the director to do it. Yannick apparently doesn't like his . . . Ankles ? Heheheheh.

Now that's more like it. This was a really good episode, an interesting crime (though a bit obvious), featured all characters, and loads of W/J, including an adorable kiss. I love when William and Julia work on cases together, they're such a great investigative team. Rebecca seems nice and I'm intrigued by how she's so educated, but working as a cleaner. This should be a good arc. Though I think the show have plot holes going on by not telling us a) why Julia decided to become the coroner again, b) what happened with the asylum, and c) how is Emily doing. They need to tell us. How Ginny moves around those women by herself is also a mystery. I find it odd the red-haired friend of Ginny's just disappeared. Perhaps she was a partner, but she too betrayed Ginny and slipped away while Ginny took the blame. Cora was never in any danger because she hadn't been one of the five killers, or one of the betrayers. She'll be safe and living her life like before, only with less back-up as Sally's girls are mostly dead now.

I wish there would have been a bit more discussion about Julia going back to the morgue. I guess she just jumped at the opportunity and wasn't bothered about not being a psychologist anymore?

She could be part-time at he mourge and the asylum? That's one of the reasons why she could have been so tired. (Though that could have also been because she went from a relitvily "plushy" job where her work wasn't so physical, to one where it was more physical and the hours weren't so "great") Anyway if she goes back the the asylum I"m sure she could. They did take her back after she was almost hung for murder...

Has anyone noticed that William's suits don't seem to be fitting him well this season? They seem too big for him. Perhaps he's got some new ones, I don't recognize at least one he wore tonight. I have noticed that they've been not just bigger this season, but also cut differently-higher in a way. I don't know if that's supposed to mean that he's just eating better these days, or if that was the style of men's suits. I should probably go and look. Whatever the reason, I don't like it!! Don't play with William's suits!

I thought Reda was padding them out a little last season to give William the same "satisfied married look", and perhaps to let poor Yannick eat a little more. It's also possible suit fashions were changing during the time period. Barefoot pwns all! That's 2 socks closer to the nudist colony! Can't wait for that part of the ep! there's been a few tweets to yannick about looking fatter...not sure why he responded... I don't think he looks fatter and I can testify to the fact that he is NOT fat at all but those suits are not doing him justice.

I think he looks a bit more stocky, but I also think Reda is using costuming to design the character that way.

I like the concept - I just wish it had been logically connected to the setting (such as when we got to see him in a bathing suit...at the beach). I wonder what Yannick's objection was...?

I wonder if he's indulging in some of those new cocaine drinks? Perhaps there is come Vin Mariani in the crystal wine carafe. Or he imbibes in the orginal Coca Cola.
