I wish there would have been a bit more discussion about Julia going back to the morgue. I guess she just jumped at the opportunity and wasn't bothered about not being a psychologist anymore? Me too I really thought there would be more conversation about her return. I agree: this was a step backward in Julia's career that needs explaining. Perhaps it was stopgap measure (a temporary detour from her psychiatry career) that eventually becomes permanent because reasons.

calling out Julia saying not once but 2x how exhausted she was, and reading that she's pregnant, lol. The other is on Twitter someone asked Yannick about the barefoot scene, and he admitted he didn't like it but agreed with the director to do it. Yannick apparently doesn't like his . . . Ankles ? Heheheheh. LOL at Yannick's demure ankles. How Victorian of him! Regarding Julia being pregnant - WTH! If we want to read something into Julia being exhausted, she could just as easily be getting tuberculosis like William's first love, Liza. Angst-o-rama! Especially if she mistakes some grave illness for pregnancy first.

William was practically naked in this ep! Of course the barefoot scene is nice, but I think my favorite was when he woke Julia up to discuss the Last Supper and the apostles and his shirt was unbuttoned, untucked, and no tie! Ooh la la! didn't even notice...too busy laughing at julia's expression...and the fact that he was acting like a little kid excited about opening presents And this is why they're my OTP. Julia doesn't scold him when he awakens her-after she shakes the cobwebs off, she immediately tries to follow his line of thinking and asks pertinent questions. And once she realizes the delicious state of deshabille he's in, she has her way with him.

I love it when writers use contrasts to define their character. William is strongly defined by his buttoned-up look. Undressing him a bit says a lot about the context without a word of dialogue. I'm still not sure why they were barefoot in the park, though! William's always perfectly presented, so yeah, when he's not put together, it really makes quite the statement. His comfort level at their suite is already such a marked contrast from last season. This episode was great because it was Jilliam, partners at work and in love.

No, it's your cue to embrace your muse and write that fic! By the way, did you see my MM "fantasy football" son-of-William arc in the Other TV Shows section? No...where is it?

Really? It's difficult? Have you forgotten what forces are held in check by the mighty tie? It would help to be reminded by a tie-swiping fantasy... I have faith that it's coming...and it will be in a moment when we're not expecting it. If it happened in the scene that was cut last week, so help me God...

I also felt that there should have been a remark or two about her not being a psychiatrist anymore, but perhaps there will be a comment to Rebecca or something of the sort within the next couple of episodes.

I have to agree with you. It seems William is finally loosening up. He should have been falling asleep all through the next day, though. I wonder if he's indulging in some of those new cocaine drinks? Perhaps there is come Vin Mariani in the crystal wine carafe. Or he imbibes in the orginal Coca Cola. I think it's an interesting idea, but one we'll never see because of the uproar that would occur when our beloved hero partakes in the use of illicit drugs!

I'm not wishing for it to be that she's pregnant, but I have to admit, that's exactly the sort of thing that people say to you when you're pregnant, and that was my thought as well. It just seems odd that the show has never mentioned Julia being exhausted ever before, and then we get several mentions. It could be something, or it could be nothing. Only you would hope she dies from some disease in the name of angst.

Julia being the Toronto coroner again isn't a step back in her career. It's just switching medical fields. It's actually a prestigious job in it's own right. And William has been loosening up for a while, we've seen him out of his suit before. Though it was nice to see him comfortably in his socks.

Some years have gone by for the development of modern medicine, and maybe there is better treatment for whatever is ailing her. As long as its not pregnancy. She might also be exhausted from running back and forth to the asylum. The clip of Julia and Rebecca seemed to show her old office and Helene mentioned running back and forth between sets, which seemed to be tiring for her as an actor.
