Well, it was a good cliff hanger then. We need a spy in Toronto to tell us what's going on. >.> I'm sure they'll keep Thomas Craig under wraps for much of the summer. But that could be difficult if they don't start airing until the end of Sept or later. I think they were at least halfway through shooting the season by Aug or Sept last year. But it might not be a problem if he isn't needed for location shots. If Brackenreid is still alive but recovering by doing desk work, then they would just need him to film on the set. Meanwhile, CBC had an "Upfront" event recently and from the pics, just 4 were present (Yannick, Helene, Jonny and Georgina). Several on location shots posted out of Tottenham this week but no sign of Mr B. They have to know someone will immediately post on facebook or twitter at the first sighting of him on if he turns up on location... lots of spies-on-a-mission out there!

That sure puts a crimp in what he can do with his free time. Then again MM managed to keep the proposal secret - that must have been next to impossible with all the interested parties involved. On the downside, it involved in some awkwardly obviously-at-the-last-minute-spliced video for several eps. This may occur for the Brackenreid arc as well. With 18 eps in play, that won't be pretty. Hiding whether someone is dead or disabled for life is a lot bigger than hiding whether someone proposed. =/

In a previous thread I proposed that Thomas Craig will most definitely be back because MM is produced in association with Alibi TV in the UK. There is no way that the British link through "Mr. Coronation St." is going to be broken. Our beloved Inspector has had the stuffing seriously knocked out of him (and probably some broken bones) but he will recover. I can see his emotional journey back into Stationhouse #4 being an interesting story arc.

If he's living in Canada isn't he going to want to go out for a pizza or something? D: I can't wait for the emotional journey! I'm already cooking up the popcorn for a lot of angst! If this is resolved in just one episode I'm going to be ticked off.

He doesn't need to stay out of sight...Thomas Craig hasn't died, only his character is in trouble. Does anyone really believe that Brackenreid is dead?

No, but I believe the producers of the show would try to keep up that suspense as long as possible. Has anyone been posting pics of Thomas Craig around the set?

Fair enough. But it's early days for shooting and the Brackenreid's recovery would keep him out of the major loop for a few episodes at least. Perhaps they'll do all his smaller scenes in the studio over a day or two. Time will tell.

Or this pic a kind spy has finally provided for us? ow.ly/i/5MpqR/originalBut how to prove the time when it was taken? (The info at the bottom says CBC posted it 11 days ago...?)

Well at least we know for sure that Brackenreid gets back in the game.

Well at least we know for sure that Brackenreid gets back in the game. Was expecting him to be in a wheel chair first and delivering his old-fashioned "rough justice" by running perps down! XD Oooh, can you imagine all the "modifications" William might make to a wheelchair?

As diverting as that would be, I'm very happy to have Thomas on his feet and hopefully full of his usual 'piss and vinegar'.

I agree, but I'll lay odds that he'd go back to saying "it's all bollicks" before he'd finished the first puzzle. I really do love his character!

And then he'd have to work out his frustrations by punching someone. XD Sadly, he probably had a terrible beating coming. Karma came knocking.

The Inspector's very physical methods have made me squirm several times but I think that bulldog style of policing was common in those days. William and Brackenreid really do epitomize the polarity of policing styles. In that last episode Brackenreid finally acknowledged that brains probably were better than brawn when it comes to crime solving. Let's hope he's able to keep that in mind when it comes to getting that dock gang.
