Massey Hall has the most incredible acoustics! It might be too big for a venue though. How big a wedding do you think Jilliam will have? On her side, Emily, Ruby and maybe a few unnamed friends. On his side, possibly Harry and Jasper, and smack in the middle, all of Stationhouse No. 4. I'm thinking that most of Julia's society acquaintances, particularly the couples, will have distanced themselves from her because of the divorce business and her trial. I still think the Inspector will walk her down the aisle, George will be best man and Emily or Ruby, maid of honour.
Do you remember the line in "20th Century Murdoch" when Wm first met his son? The boy said "Uncle George said you'd be coming". Clearly a foreshadowing of a more personal relationship between William and George.

Maybe William's priest will be willing to make a concession. Like snacky mentioned, he's given up so much for her already, is a perfect wedding really too much to ask? And despite the lovliness of the other venues brought up, I'm still in love with that cathedral. As for George as the minister, I vote no...I love the man to death, but his role is standing by William's side as best man, IMO.

I couldn't imagine anyone besides George being the best man (unless of course the inspector wasn't busy walking Julia down the aisle). If he wanted another man to stand up for him, either Jasper or Henry would do. Ruby of course will be busy planning the event and standing up for her sister.

I agree with lovemondays - it was FORETOLD in Twentieth Century Murdoch.

Wanna hear something funny? My husband grew up as a parishioner at St. Michael's but we got married at my Anglican church. It is a gorgeous cathedral. But if the writers stay true to the period the wedding will be elsewhere. I would love to be wrong here.

That's so cool, lovemondays! Maybe the writers will make a small concession for the sake of the fans. I noticed a little slip the other day when William said that he had a stuffed bear as toy when he was a kid, even though stuffed bears wouldn't be invented for another five years! If they thought no one would notice that, maybe they'll think they same thing about the church.

Well, also to be true to reality, it looks like the interior of St. Michael's is under construction right now! www.stmichaelscathedral.com/construction-scaffolding/@annie - Teddy Bear! Sooooooooooo cute. D: Wouldn't it be adorable if William still has it somewhere?

Haha, you both seem to get more ahead every time I take a break! Although I do feel justified since this latest break was in an effort to forge ahead in Season 5...up to episode 5 now. Woohoo! (And yes, I would love to think that William still has "Bear" the stuffed bear )

(And yes, I would love to think that William still has "Bear" the stuffed bear ) Waaaaaaaaaa, it's even cuter to think it's just named Bear! D: I sort of like episode 5, though someone else (carco?) did not. The Diva is just soooo Euro-pretentious when she talks about her imported Venetian candies and billet doux. Also love how Brackenreid is a total fanboy.

The diva is a little overdone, but Brackenreid's fanboy-ism makes up for it I also love Margaret's comeback in that episode. She's such a great character - the long suffering wife, but also with enough spit and spirit to stand up to an opera superstar, then turn around and threaten Thomas! She's the perfect foil for the great Inspector.
