Here Elise1898 did a wonderful compilation of all the Jilliam kisses from S1-7:
Fanvids like this were extremely valuable to me when I first discovered MM, because I was confronted with an overwhelming number of episodes and a wish to quickly get an overview of the whole story. Me being a sucker for a good ship, I followed the scenes that fans chose to emphasize in their vids. I wish this video had been available then!
As usual, elise1898 proves to be talented at this craft. She even kept the proposal at the end short and sweet, without an shrill crescendos. Honestly, I don't like the score. It doesn't hurt my ears, and sometimes I do like the modern music/period juxtaposition (like CC's "Hit Me Baby One More Time) - but this approach is all about conveying a mood, and the mood evoked here is 70s porn. The Ovation "Love is in the Air" video was unappealing to me for the same reason. But that judgment is highly subjective and personal: without doubt many will find this a beautiful video.
This video, and many comments accompanying similar videos, reminded me of what we lost with the "nailing down" of the relationship: all those marvelous fantasies of the passion being denied! What do William and Julia have to fantasize about now? Writers please think of something, because those little fantasies were a big pleasure for the viewers.

I've watched several of elise1898 fanvids. She is really talented. The beauty of them is that you get the benefit of seeing most of your favourite ship moments compressed into a few minutes and if you don't like the music you can always hit mute!
William and Julia are going to be in the honeymoon phase for a looong time. The writers have lots of opportunities to tantalize us. Give us shippers a moment and our brains are off and running!

Here music choices are really interesting, too. I'm also curious where she initially posts her vids - she seems to take some requests. There must be another active MM fan community that attracts people who make vids. Probably something on Facebook. :/ I recuse myself. I keep wondering whether Brackenreid's injury revokes William's "married very soon" wish. We might be in for a loooooooooooong engagement and a wedding in Season 9~

I'm only proficient with fanvids on youtube. I'm very inefficient with facebook.
The wedding will be on hold until Thomas is on his feet for sure. I can see them holding it off for much of the season, hmph. But the upside of that could be that now there's enough time to run the wedding dress design contest.

I really hope they give Julia a more nouveau style dress this time instead of that princess fluff she wore for the Darcy wedding and William's dream. >.< She's more modern and sophisticated than that.

That dress was all wrong because the marriage was all wrong.
The costume department will get it right for this wedding.
You can keep an eye on CBC's facebook and twitter feeds by going to the MM page at CBC and clicking on the links. You don't have to sign up or sign in if you just want to lurk for crumbs of information like I do.

D: There's another reason I can't fiddle around with Facebook besides the fact I personally loathe it. I monitor it for other people as part of my work. I'm always signed into other accounts, and I have to be careful about accidentally leaving tracks (or, god forbid, actually posting or joining something in their names). It's safest just to not go there at all unless I'm doing business. It's the same issue with Twitter, except it's easier to browse without frakking something up there.

Point 1: I was thinking of the dress Julia wore in her actual wedding to Darcy. I'd forgotten that William had a dream wedding. Yes, that dress was pretty hideous too, but I'll put that down to his having no clue about women's fashions.
Point 2: Ahhhh. So I'll keep you posted.

Yes, I chalk it up to William's lack of attention to women's fashions as well.
@point 2 - Please do, that's why I'm so often clueless about what should be general fan knowledge. >.<

Lol you guys. It was the same hideous dress!
Which is really funny/strange because William never saw her in it!
So I've always taken it to mean that he broke into her place when she was in Vienna and rifled through her things because he missed her so much and found the dress. After the S7 finale, we all know he's capable of it. xD Or there was a picture...but it's less fun to think that.
Or more likely this is a case of the costume department being on a budget and just recycling for that reason.

That's hilarious. And I agree that dress is hideous. I wonder if William took a sample to keep under his pillow or something. With Helene's figure and the simple style that was growing popular at the turn of the century, it's possible to sew a fairly simple dress that would look fab.

Sadly no. There was never a reason for it to come up.
He made a dream catcher out of the remnants probably.
Well, I'm sure whatever they do for this upcoming wedding will be miles better than the last time.

Well, I'm sure whatever they do for this upcoming wedding will be miles better than the last time. What did you think of lovemonday's idea about the National Industrial Exposition in Osaka, Japan (which was partially an International Expo since Japan was trying out for that)? I thought it was actually plausible to wrangle an invite for that because of the Anglo-Japanese Alliance, and the accompanying Japan-courting and general Japanophilia. Japan would be interested in modern forensic science, and they might also have a crime that needs solving (and a good reason to hide it since they are trying to put on a good face as a partner in the Alliance and a contender as International Expo Host an equal among "modern" nations. Japan has its own "detective"/police procedural tradition: Laura Joh Rowlands has a very long running mystery series set during the decline of the Shogunate.

Uh I hadn't read/heard of that before so I didn't think anything about it. Where is the post?
