The Murdoch Mysteries experimental map now has 3 pins: 22 Ontario Street Station House 4 Queen's Street Hotel I don't know the address of anything else. novelsonlocation.com/#!search-murdoch%20mysteries They are all randomly under Maureen Jenning's book "Under the Dragon's Tail". They can be associated with any of her books, as long as they are all include the tag "murdoch mysteries".

You can also add Queen's Park, Centre Island/Ward's Island and the bottom of Cherry Street. Darcy's house is 693 Jarvis Street. Here's what I'm trying to work out...are we mapping addresses used in the show regardless of what is actually there OR are we mapping addresses of real locations where episodes are filmed? If it's the first approach, Station House No. 4 is a parking lot, 22 Ontario Street doesn't exist and 693 Jarvis is a hole in the ground waiting to become condos...so not much worth going to see. If it's the second approach, the 'Gerrard St bridge' where Wm caught up to Anna in WotWS1 is actually in Cambridge, about 100 km (60 miles) west of Toronto. There are a lots of real addresses in Cambridge to map that people will recognize from the series. The same is true for Hamilton and Brantford especially. So...if the goal is pinning addresses, hotels and buildings as they are mentioned on the show then it's just a cerebral exercise. If the goal is to do what that clever American couple did then we need to pin real addresses on maps of several towns with blurbs that describe what a traveler will find. Then it's a do-it-yourself MM road trip. That's what we're doing in Hamilton on Sunday. Your thoughts?

We can do both. My original plan and the work I've been doing follow the second scenario. I've been working madly to get 4 seasons worth of locations capped so I have the pics to use while I pick the brains of Talbotrail's friend.

Also, Darcy's address will be the first fake pin to a Maureen Jennings book since he's not in her book. Congrat's Darcy, you just joined the protagonists of Under the Dragon's Tail...(read in between the lines!).

What's the bottom of Cherry Street? Is Centre Island just a filming location? I want to start with show information. Ooh where is "the club"? Wasn't that in Allen Garden?

The best we could do is to export maps after we pin them up and then add pics to those.

The station house was on Wilton Ave. not the current Wilton St., Wilton Ave. became part of Dundas St. and no longer exists. Cherry Beach, filming location of the dead woman in OTW1 is at the bottom of Cherry St. however I'm not sure it existed in Murdoch's time as this was just east of the docks. Cherry Lane as in Dead End Street doesn't seem to exist. The King's Rowing Club was filmed on Toronto Island near Centreville. The bridge seen in the rowing shots is east of the grandstand.

Allen Gardens (Murdoch Effect and Power filming locations) is 19 Horticulture Ave. The 'tea room' from The Return of Sherlock Holmes was said to be in Allen Gardens but there isn't one now (if ever?). The Albany Club (Victor, Victorian and Winston's Lost Night) is 91 King Street East, and has been there since 1889. Linden Street does exist right where William's chalk map in Crime and Punishment shows. We've never been given a house # though. You could probably pin the Shaftsbury Theatre as 260 King Street West. That is the Royal Alexandra Theatre, built in 1907. I agree with Talbotrail's assessment of Cherry Street although the filming in OtW2 with the ship was there too. (The bottom of...in Toronto it always references close to the lake.) I've been snipping shots of the Toronto maps they're using. It might be very helpful to get my hands on a copy.

Hmm, I don't think we should get into where all the dead bodies were located unless they had some special significance for character development or the location was repeatedly used. After 8 seasons that could get ridiculous. For Station House 4 I copied the address given in the Wiki. I'll redo that pin later. Sigh. Where is the King;s Rowing Club "supposed" to be?

I wasn't meaning the body location as such, just a comment as to what was at the bottom of Cherry St. The body was just a reminder of the scene. I think KRC is supposed to be on Centre Island, it doesn't actually exist however there is a grandstand.

The station house was on the corner of Wilton Ave. and Parliament St. The Wiki says 2 Wilton St. however it's avenue not street. I'll have to check which corner but for some reason I'm thinking it's on the south side as I believe in the books it's between Wilton and Shuter St.

Where is the King;s Rowing Club "supposed" to be? I think KRC is supposed to be on Centre Island, it doesn't actually exist however there is a grandstand. I agree with that. Also, Ward's Island 'Inn' was the setting for Staircase to Heaven. Ward's Island is a part of what is generally referred to as Centre Island so you could just 'stick a pin in it'.
