The tie must be on my mind. Does that look like expensive silk? When we married, people started commenting to my husband that they knew he had a woman in his life now because he was dressing better. Are you insinuating something similar for William? Plus, I know we've talked about this before, but I think we need to be on the lookout for a ring on William. No reason other than I've decided that Julia's going to want some visible symbol that he's taken, and plus, I think William would be proud to show the world that he was finally married-although he may slightly uncomfortable at the thought of wearing jewelry. I know Brax doesn't wear one, but Darcy did and so did the assassin in the Murdoch Identity. There may have been others as well.

Oooooh, perhaps a more dapper look does bode well for the imminent wedding! I guess it's only fair since Julia started dressing more like Ruby to get William's attention. Did I just imagine it? I thought we already spotted a ring on William a couple days ago. I'm almost sure it was mentioned at some point. I do agree that William would want that visible symbol even if Julia didn't! I wonder why Brackenreid doesn't wear one. Has anyone found an article on the "optional" nature of the Edwardian wedding ring?

A new picture of Detective MURDOCH. By the way, I love William in the classic inquisitive pose.

I'm meeting friends in a few minutes, so I don't have time to look for it again right now, but yes, I once found an article that discussed by the turn of the 20th century, it was becoming a more common practice. And, I missed a discussion about a ring for William? Really? I thought I was keeping up. Plus, given Julia's jealousy in the past, I'm thinking she'll want a ring on his finger.

Brackenreid is English, Englishmen didn't start wearing wedding rings until relatively recently. When I got married, 35 years ago, it was very rare, my husband wore a ring on his wedding finger but didn't have an official wedding ring until our 20th anniversary. Also, I think Brackenreid would think a man wearing jewellery was a sissy.

I get why Brax doesn't have one, but I just think William would want one. Just a thought.

I'm pretty certain we'll see William wearing one. If only for the shippers.

Ew, that means the ring was kind of like a lasso capturing the woman.

This is where the evolution of ideas comes in-today the symbolic of eternity and love. According to the article, it didn't take long for that to happen either.

Yes, but that doesn't mean Brackenreid would leave his British ideas behind just because he now lives in Canada.

Get up, stand up! Stand up for your right! We know they will be thrown in jail but do you think Julia and Emily will have a preferential treatment, a separate cell or something else? I've been thinking that William will not be able to pick up Julia, she could believe that he's really anger with her and she could refuse to be released -she is so stubborn- until Inspector SLORACH explain why he didn't come.
