I hadn't thought about it from the married angle. Before Snacky can rip the angst thread I'll beat her to the punch...Sally will kidnap Julia to gain some evil control over William. She'll have to figure out he's married first. Sally didn't care that she was married to James - why should she care William is married to Julia? She's too bohemian to be concerned with petty things like church-made vows.

She did seem to have his number in season 3-had it gone on much longer, there's no telling what she could have made him done.

As soon as he realized she was a criminal everything else went out the window and he was himself chasing the bad guy gal. However I could still see her coming on to him and trying to seduce him again.

How much do you want to be we see the "landscape" picture again? Don't know if it got liquidated after Sally bankrupted James. I'm sad the mansion is out of the picture...it's the closest filming location to my home. (I too can be selfish.) Awwwwwww, really? I expected an unsuspecting Henry to pick it up at a yard sale and attempt to hang it up at the station, shocking the heck out of everyone.

I was checking out the history of plastic surgery for this purpose and found out the father of modern plastic surgery is named Gillies! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plastic_surgery#Development_of_modern_techniquesModern plastic surgery began around WWI, so it's not really that far into the future. It's possible there's already experimentation in that area, and wealthy criminals can take advantage. Sally is already a best friend of the Vanderbilts and the Astors in her whole new identity.

The funny thing is Julia could probably kick Sally's ass in shorter order, and with fewer regrets, than William could. Just thought of something cool: William teaching Julia some self-defense techniques!

Sally might also hire some "dollymops" to distract and seduce William while she is up to no good. She can always train them in William's weaknesses.

For the Temple of Death, I'm still voting for George to he the Damsel in Distress - that way both William and Julia can kick ass, chew bubble gum, and come to the rescue! Hello, Mrs. Murdochinator!

I rewatched this today and noticed something a little odd (it's funny how it's the finale ep and previously i had issues with the premiere). Anyways, Murdoch deduces that Sally must have been the mastermind all along and that she was siphoning money from Pendrick's fountain of wealth. She hatches the art gallery scheme to try and get a lot of money at once but it goes awry. Then she fakes getting blown up so Pendrick will get arrested and she'll have complete access to his resources. Fine, this all makes sense. But the problem is when you think about the situation that led to the bomb exploding. Some prostitute gets strangled by her ex-pimp and then the team finds photos in a hidden safe and one of them just happens to be of Sally. This leads Murdoch to her and she in turn gives him a presumably fake black mail letter telling her to go to the bomb site. But my problem is that the whole plan revolved around complete chance. If the ex-pimp hadn't killed the prostitute and they hadn't discovered the location of the doxy pad and they hadn't found the hidden safe, and they hadn't found her picture in that safe, Sally couldn't have framed her husband. The only solution that makes sense to me, is that she had some other plan in the works to get Pendrick out of the way, but then these random events happened and so she scraped those plans. Cuz it doesn't make sense for her to be waiting around for something like this to happen. Yeah, so that's my long windedness at it's finest. =) And I still love this ep, the end still makes me cry. I still yell at William to chase after her. It's so beautifully tragic. Also, I wonder if we'll ever be seeing Sally again? It'd be interesting if she somehow showed up in the next ep that Pendrick is going to be in. Geez, I used to analyze this show a lot more than I do now. But yeah, I vote for Sally to come back dressed as a man to conduct some shady business in Toronto and William has strange feelings towards this man...and it'll be a bit like Mulan.

The perv in me likes this plot a lot, though it probably belongs in a fic where we can be in on some of these conflicted thoughts... OMG that gay kiss was actually hot! MUST. CONFESS. NOW. But wait, should I admit this to Julia? Who do I tell first? My priest or Julia? Will Julia drop me off a cliff when she finds out? Should I go to one of my Dark Places and hide there forever now...?

One of my first fics had her dressed as a man...but Murdoch was totally clueless to anything being amiss. He was too much in detective mode I guess. Or I just never considered him really being that into her back then. To make it even weirder, have BOTH William and Julia be attracted to this mysterious man and both feel equally guilty about it.
