but she didn't like having her photo taken.... Perhaps because they were hoping to create some question in the promo as to whether she was Mrs. B, so they didn't want too much about her role getting out there...?

Are we sure Slorach is the "boss", or was he just randomly commenting on William's use of "company time"? Maybe William's the boss! Yep, Slorach is the boss, they called him inspector. Aw.

Slorach never actually pulled rank other than to comment about planning nuptials on police time. That's true - he seems like an okay (if lazy) guy underneath. William came close to insubordination, though.

She definitely looks familiar. I was thinking she looks like Jill Halfpenny who was in Eastenders but she's been in Murdoch Mysteries before (Elizabeth Bryant in Murdoch of the Klondike) and it might turn out she actually looks nothing like her! MM recycles a lot of actors. I rewatched Big Murder on Campus, and I think that was Chief Inspector Stockton playing the bit part of the wagon driver....(?) It would be cool if William got a visit from Elizabeth, though! (Presuming it didn't threaten his relationship with Julia!) That would explain him walking companionably with her.

The woman in black looks like Jo Joyner who played Tanya in EastEnders. I am not sure but she does look familiar. (Maybe she killed Lucy!!!!) Maybe she's playing William, and she's actually the evil mastermind behind the Irish gangs...

It's Jo Joyner. Maybe her husband was killed by the dockers who attacked Brackenreid. There are two ways to go if she's wearing black: 1) She's a victim: William is getting justice for her husband. 2) She's a vigilante: Protestants killed her husband (thus the black widow-wear), so she's sponsoring the O'Sheas somehow.

Inspector Slorach?! I was just asking about that! It's going to be hard for Detective MURDOCH to cope with the very personal working method of the Inspector SLORACH. I like when someone come to shake the too much orderly world of William MURDOCH, it's funny. Yannick BISSON is so good at acting the annoyed people. HUMOUR is one of the reasons why I watch this show.
Now they are engaged, Julia is not agreed with William anymore to wait their wedding night to be intimate/to have sexual intercourse. Enfin, j'dis ça, j'dis rien! *George??? You meant Jonny HARRIS. I rather think that the widow -but we don't know who she is- who is looking out the window the fight on the docks, who will stop the four men who attack the detective MURDOCH .
According to Christina JENNINGS, fans have influenced the work of the writers of the MURDOCH MYSTERIES and they have given a greater importance to this character.
Two words: Terrence MEYERS. One word: Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I think William gives George much higher level research work because he's more reliable, whereas Henry often screws up. I would agree with this-they both may be Constables, but George is on the promotion track it seems-he gets more responsibility than Higgins and is somewhere between a detective and a constable-if only unofficially. I think Higgins has some surprise talent in there, too, though. I still think we should find out Higgins started taking night classes or something - just because he enjoyed playing a lawyer. Maybe his rich girlfriend will be paying for it.

Constables aren't junior detectives, that's a separate department. George would have to go into plain clothes to become any kind of detective. George and Higgins do a lot of the same work so they are the same level. George just happens to have more scenes in the cases because he's a bigger character than Higgins. George actually says in the new clips that he's content as a constable when Edna questions why he hasn't gone further in the police. While George says he's content to Edna, we do see him in plain clothes in clips: alternative explanations would be that William is not available (off duty because he's injured? On his honeymoon?) or he's under cover on an investigation. It seems to me that George has a bigger character and is in more scenes because he's William's "go to" guy as an assistant to his work, and in that way he is a sort of apprentice. When William is injured, it is George that subs as a Detective, not Higgins or some other Constable. It seems to me he has been groomed in the role for a long time. Despite his flights of fancy, George has shown his "street smarts" on numerous occasions - and he gets very serious when he does. Remember when he noticed the shoes in Staircase to Heaven? He worked out the whole "Capitalist Plot" in War on Terror. He's a smart, observant guy. Everyone has foibles. When Brackenreid hired William, he had to put up with someone who is always right, who is always correcting grammar, who puts everyone to sleep over-explaining science, and who steps on political toes in the name of doing the right thing. And he's a Catholic, to boot! Brackenreid put up with this because William was getting the job done. The only question should be whether George is ready to get the job done.

Two words: Terrence MEYERS. One word: Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I love what Christina Jennings said about accepting fan ideas. Where were we supposed to send them again? I have to go back through the forum and dig out some of my history-related ones. I hope they don't just look on that Facebook page. Good point about Slorach being especially disorderly - that is a good foil for William, and William didn't have to deal with Slorach the last time he was at Station House 4. On the up side - has anyone noticed that William is much less of an "Aspergers type" in recent seasons? Either Yannick stopped playing him that way after Season 4, or we have to interpret that as some sort of character development. In any case, Slorach would definitely drive him up a tree. Regarding Julia's desire to "go for a test drive" - she certainly baited William all through season 7! Fallenbelle just wrote a fanfic on this subject, if you read "rated Mature" fic. You might be right about the widow intervening in the alley - I'm starting to wonder if she's actually on the Irish gang side - perhaps she wants revenge because Protestants murdered her husband? Regarding Terence Meyers: you don't like him? He's my fave recurring character!!! What don't you like about him?

The guy that played the wagon driver wasn't the same as CI Stockton. Can't remember the actors name right now but I believe he just died, I think I saw something to that effect somewhere.

Just looked up CC Stockton, he's played by Allan Royal, the wagon driver was played by Paul O'Sullivan. I don't know where I got that he'd just died, apparently he passed away in 2012 at the age of 47!

I'm not sure it had anything to do with the production and was more likely she doesn't like being photographed.
