So I have this to say... WAY TO GO GEORGE!!!! Did I see him making a play for Edna? Did I see I him laying the grounds to become Detective? lol at the KopMobile!!! And using it to pick up chicks... Did I see a hint that Emily really is a Sapphist? HIGH FIVE ME CC!!!! Inspector Slorach?! I was just asking about that! I wonder if William is bummed Slorach made Inspector before him, the Greatest Detective in the King's Realm? The mild conflict between William and Julia over Julia going out to fight for suffrage went down just the way I thought it would. William knows he can't stop her. Ha! Though I think George hinted at something more disturbing regarding a conflict between William's Catholic beliefs and Julia's forward-thinking ways. What could that be referring to? I think Helene accidentally confirmed that the marriage would occur after George made the joke about her not marrying anyone else. But I also still doubt that marriage is happening near the start of the season even if it is episode 100. They are half way through filming, and I got the vibe the "real" marriage hasn't happened yet! And I think we found out that William had to work on his kissing/making out style, and that's why the courtship has been taking so long... Julia looked super prissy at that Ladies Tea Party. I predict Jackson will rescue William in the alley. Something is going on with Jackson in that scene. lol at Kristian Bruun getting more love now that he's in Orphan Black. I noticed he's now part of a threesome bromance with Henry and George, too! We all know Inspector B is just laid up at home, getting ginseng-fueled hot luv from Mrs. B. And we will be seeing a lot more of Mrs. B this season - probably because the Temperance League merged with the Sufferage movement. Keystone Kops are Henry and George. lol, Jonny knows George will own Toronto one day. Was there anything else?

Maybe Gemily is a thing of the past? Serious Lols at George trying to impress his new/old lady friend with a bumbling bros motor show. Yes I think we've seen the last of Gemily. Even Georgina was talking about how she "tried" but was rebuffed. Did you catch the sapphism hint? Certain 16 year old girls on Tumblr are now going to come after me and CC with pitchforks, since they can't mass unfriend poor CC twice. Edna was encouraging him to try for Detective, and people have been talking about George running around in a suit. There were some allusions to George's growth on the panel. Also in a different article, Yannick mentioned a lot of changes. The car was hilarious! But George should get a motorbike, too! Tess is still my favorite, but Edna looked like a sensible woman who would still appreciate some George-style attentions. Ps. Jonny kissing Georgina must have been like kissing his sister, with his best friend watching.

I've got to get some schoolwork done, so I'll expand more upon this later, but OMG SQUEEEEEEE at William and Julia. Ever since you made that suggestion about their being tension behind their decisions to go to the docks/protest, I've been thinking about their makeup afterwards. And, it's not all smut-surprise! Maybe once I get this week's assignments done. Well, that, and once I've shared my theories about what happens in season 8.

Sadly I don't think George/Emily are a thing of the past. I think they're just in a delay like W/J were in S4/S5. Edna will probably be the Darcy of George/Emily. George definitely has more chemistry with Edna. I always thought so. The show made a mistake just dropping her and George's potential romance.
I'm still not supportive of George possibly being a full-time detective. It doesn't really work for me.
I don't think Emily will be bi.
The stand-in Inspector should be hilarious. The clips had some really funny parts. W/J are as adorable as always. Julia is used to being arrested by now. Emily should get used to it as well because she is similar to Julia. I love how modern and feminist they are.
Good to see Higgins around quite a bit. I'm still hoping he gets a romance. Looks like we'll be seeing more of Mrs Brackenreid and Jackson this season. I wonder at what point in S8 Brackenreid comes back as Inspector.
I noticed some slight changes to the constables uniform. You can now see the white shirts they wear underneath.

I missed it! It looks like William's going to get a bruise or two for Julia to kiss away when she lets him back in the bedroom. The Slorach scene shows that no marriage plans were endangered in the course of any dock confrontations.

Did you catch that bit about Emily being in a surprising relationship? That's the part I was taking as a hint. Of course that's a super-vague hint. What are some other interpretations? Wouldn't turning George/Edna into Julia/Darcy just be recycling material instead of original storytelling?

Just as William asks Julia to be careful, I'm sure she's worried about him as well. But they both know there's no point in stopping it. I think he will be badly hurt, and she won't be able to attend to him-and it's going to gut her. I'm telling you, there's a fic in there. I'm not worried about his long term survival, but that doesn't mean we can't have some Julia angst fun! No, I don't think marriage plans were harmed, but that doesn't mean that they can't have an argument about it. Also, did you see the ring as she was holding up the sign? Squee! I'm such a fangirl!

I hope you're wrong (sorry! ) about George/Emily-I want to see George with someone else. Yes, the show made a mistake dropping her, but maybe now they're fixing it by bringing her back? You know, now that they've both mellowed out with experience and age, they're even better now? I do agree with you about George not being the detective type, but are we possibly comparing him too much with William? I mean, look at Slorach, he pales in comparison to William as well. No one is going to look good compared to William, and maybe we judge George's potential detective skills too harshly. I don't know-it's just a thought. Regarding Higgins, I totally want to see him with a strong woman, and him happily whipped. Is that wrong? I don't know that Brax does make it back as the inspector, but I hope for a speedy return nonetheless! I didn't notice the uniform changes! *goes back to rewatch*

Forgot that the problem with separate quotes is you can't hit reply to them. I think Jackson was injured by the dockworkers. The bromobile may be from a later episode. No crashing the bromobile! I think the guys are too much the gentlemen for catcalling. My problem with men and red cars is they get tempted to try to prove something or express their emotions by driving way too fast. But I don't think this will be a problem for the Bromobile. Jonny referred to "world's slowest car chase." The panel is worth watching - quite a few hints - perhaps innuendos are a better word - get thrown out there. Helene was probably trolling about William needing to work on his kissing, though, lol. Jonny didn't specify the nature of the "Catholic" conflict, so he might have been talking about character conflicts in general. I think William wouldn't be too worried about Julia's activities threatening his career if he's not going to get promoted anyway, but he might be very worried about her treatment in prison, as you say. I don't think William was actually injured (badly) on the docks. I'm pretty sure someone intervened at the point the clip cut off. The suffrage stuff is a different episode, isn't it? Regarding George in a suit: why can't he be promoted to Detective while William becomes "Senior Detective" without becoming Inspector, a political post to which he is unsuited...? Again the panel is totally worth watching - please let me know if you catch that bit about Emily's shocking relationship or if I just imagined that.

Regarding Higgins, I totally want to see him with a strong woman, and him happily whipped. Is that wrong? OMG, another reason to watch the panel! When they are being all mysterious about Inspector Brackenreid's fate and what will happen to Mrs' Brackenreid, Lachlan starts reaching over to put his arms around her...! I knew that boy had aspirations to be whipped supported by a rich widow!

I'm not worried about his long term survival, but that doesn't mean we can't have some Julia angst fun! This may happen some day, but not at the Docks - simply because it just happened to Brackenreid and there is only so much that can happen in one ep. I think it's too much angst for the show. I do think something like this might happen at some point - in fact I was tempted to think it would happen with the train episode, except William will be needed in fighting spirit if there's going to be some focus on the trial of the engineer. But in terms of angst, I think Convalescence shows as far as MM would ever go in terms of William getting hurt. I don't think the last scene of S7 proves otherwise: all we saw was that Inspector B was unconscious. He will need recovery time, just as William was out of action during Convalescence. There will probably be some very funny/salty scenes with Inspector B. MM does meaningful drama, but not high angst. They eventually have to exploit the fact Julia's a doctor, though - and I can't wait to see how they do it!

Again the panel is totally worth watching - please let me know if you catch that bit about Emily's shocking relationship or if I just imagined that. Oh, I agree that the boys were far too gentlemanly for catcalling. They're an adorable form of bromance, as opposed to say, the bromancing going on over at 4chan. Gross. "World's slowest car chase"? I hope nothing happens to the bromobile! I'm not kidding, it may just be my new favorite character. Well, maybe not my favorite... I don't think the character conflicts between W/J are anything new. It's always been an integral part of who they are. They argue, then adorably make up afterwards. The great thing about the relationship is that they think about their position, and adjust if they feel it is necessary, or refuse to budge if they don't. What's even more beautiful is that neither one demands the other to change-they accept it as a part of who they are. I hope you're right about George becoming a junior detective under William-agreed William is politically unsuited for inspector. I like that possibility better than outright promotions. Also, why is there only one detective? I mean, William has to go home sometime. I think there should be multiple detectives. Also, speaking of a chronically undermanned police dept., why didn't the boys have more "force" or even extra bodies when they went to shake down the waterfront? Even if #4 didn't have enough men, another precinct couldn't help out? Or is #4 solely responsible for all of Toronto now? Or, is this just proof of cutbacks at CBC? Seriously though, this is bothering me.
