I still have 2/3 of a bottle of matahari absinthe from my birthday to add to my tea. Still trying to figure out how to make it the biggest party possible. Wish I had people to celebrate it with. Absinthe in tea! Sacrilege!! Ruining both drinks! lol, okay, scratch that idea.

Okay that works. This is the third time I am trying to post this so pardon me if I sound a little ornery.
I had a chance to talk to Christine Jennings last night and I asked her if someone on the production team reads the fan boards. Her reply was , "Yes, all of them." I do suspect that someone does read our board but I made sure she knew about it. She even wrote the name "Proboards" down on a card she was holding. Then, emboldened, I mentioned that there was a "Murdoch Mysteries Manifesto" on Buzzfeed written by Squee Girl. She frowned and asked , "Is that a good or bad thing?" To which I replied that the person who wrote it was concerned with how the show is distributed and viewed in the U.S. Lovemondays joined in at this time to say that the manifesto discusses the unique style of the show. She wrote something on her card but I also gave her this info on a piece of paper. Please don't kill me Snacky. I really think these people should read this. I may even repost it on FB 'cause I KNOW they read that. And , damn it, I might email the link to Shaftesbury as well. I hope you are ok with this. Please let me know.

Now I'm just hoping that's the best idea I've ever had to contribute on this forum. I wish we could have got more insight on what the writers and producers think the style is. Some aspects of the last two eps have me thinking Disney...I hope this isn't the case.

I don't think the whole season can be Disney if it's supposed to be 10% darker and the first two episodes certainly were darker. I think perhaps once the next episode is done and the shipper stuff is out of the way things will settle down again.

Tired writers also like self-parody, which is funny and meta the first couple of times, but then the joke runs out of steam. I hope to see more noir, less charmant in the upcoming eps.>.>

The way PM was talking the writers aren't tired. I love how PM talks about the show - his interviews are really thoughtful. (even if he is on Team NotAVirgin! XD )

If there had been anything more than a smattering of anything Disneyesque you would not be the squeegirl for MM that you are. Honestly, William and Julia were solving a murder in the middle of their wedding! That's practically anti-Disney.

Are you sure we didn't see something like this in The Love Bug or That Darned Cat or the whole Flubber saga? Disney did a series of historical movies, too - I can still sing the theme song from Swamp Fox! Anyway - hijinkks were the norm...

Okay that works. This is the third time I am trying to post this so pardon me if I sound a little ornery. I feel your pain. I had some errands across town earlier today (and plus had to go out to vote...) so I ended up at a cafe this evening. There the wifi was so slow that it took me around 5 minutes per posts with frequent browser crashes. But once there, I had to finish my Mexican mocha and catch up on the political gossip. Anyway, home now, and since I can now post in long form, I want to say I really appreciate that you pointed my manifesto out to The Powers That Be. Now to see what THEIR style manifesto is: that will be the true one.

It has happened on both my IPhone and IPad. Also both away rom home (LTE network) and at home with my own WIFI.
