I was just thinking, that sleeve at the end, from its colour and material, could have been a woman's coat.....Eva Pearce? Sally Pendrick? George's mother? One of his aunts gone bad? Just a thought..... I think we may be being deceived where the colour of the sleeve is concerned. I was thinking it was a lighter blue but on looking at it again I suspect it's a dark colour that looks paler with the street lights on it. I have no idea who this could be. I usually anticipate a cliffhanger episode with an equal mix of excitement and dread.

lol, this is like "what color is that dress"? XD
It will be interesting to get first-hand how Helene felt about the separate storylines, and whether she noticed anything was off while filming was in progress.

I am really hoping to have a chance to talk about these things with her. She has said that the suffragist arc has been one she's lobbied about or years. My guess is Helene wouldn't necessarily see anything really off because they often film more than one episode at the same location over several days. Since it doesn't come together until the editing phase how would she know? It was interesting talking to Lachlan. I was trying to pump him for some locations but he was oblivious. For them, it's a job they need to prepare for, get in and get out. Do they actually watch the series as it airs? They may have a very different viewpoint.

Surely she noticed how few scenes they were filming with the two of them together.

Hi everyone, not been here for a while (about 3 years ) I can see everyone has exactly the same issues with season 8 as I have - lack of gadgets / lack of continuity / no flow throughout the season / LACK OF JILLIAM since the honeymoon / team not working together - so seems many hardened fans feel comprehensively the same. Having said that - we can't do anything about what we didn't get and my main disappointment is the Jilliam - we followed this couple through seven years of ups and downs to finally arrive at the very long awaited wedding, and were all so looking forward to seeing and sharing in their joy of finally being together and able to be open and proud of their union. I was looking forward to the playful time after the marriage when they would be touching and looking at each other all the time, not being able to get enough of each other, and this time we can't get back. My thoughts on how this could be remedied in a small way is:- William and Julia in a dire situation, Julia very frightened, and William takes her mind off of the imminent danger by telling her to "think about happier times, think back to our wedding night, when you calmed my fears and gave me such joy - etc - and we see clips from their happier "together" moments, as dreams, perhaps just a way to bring back their romance, without it being "a bit odd" because, I think the Jilliam drought has gone on for so long, it would have to be a dream, to explain the missing months, and a dire situation to make them able to show how close they are again. I am sure you all have better idea's than me, but I just want the #Jiliam passion back - anyway anyhow, but back PLEASE!

And I like your plausible idea for showing us the hidden "happy times"! By the way, are you drowninginchocolate from Facebook? Seems i have seen that moniker before. And I, for one, am glad you came back to this board!

I hope the writers understand how serious that issue is. Are you DrowningInChocolate? Where have you been hiding for 3 years? You should write a fic with your romance repair scenario. You aren't the only one to start taking the dream scenario half-seriously. My own version is to work with what the writers gave us (no honeymoon period) and make it into some post-marital problems that come to a head - then have some sort of second honeymoon as a do over.

Or better still - WET ( not had any wet William for too long) lol, he's a married man! And now he's well fed and doesn't need to impress the ladies so much. I think he's past the wet t-shirt era... Though, we are positing that he's spending some weekends cutting wood working on a house for Julia. Will that do?

I also thought about the wood chopping, while building their home, he just needs to get on with it, i really don't get the living in the Hotel thing. Julia must have several homes, why not live in one of those till he builds their dream home, and why are we not seeing location spots for site to build it, or seeing them discuss the building plans. All this should have been worked in during season 8, little by little, a glimpse here and there, would have been wondeful, and made such a difference.

Oh my Drowning don't you think they worked enough in this season they hardly had time for everything with all the different storylines. No wonder there was no Jilliam and most of the mysteries were less than stellar.
