This must be the episode that the filming pictures of the temperance league come from. I wonder if Margaret will be a suspect. That would be funny.

And now I'm imagining Margaret going into a bar with Carrie Nation, wielding a hatchet... *grin*

lol! No clue about the mystery yet, though...though it seemed for a second like the bartender was pulling out a weapon when the fight broke out.

Can't believe I keep forgetting to ask this - is anyone here going to the special screening of this episode tonight at the Derby, with Thomas Craig and Jonny Harris? I'm so jealous of those who can attend. Hopefully someone here can report back tomorrow. I believe Pendrick Arrow/Anna Quan is attending and she often broadcasts a bit using Periscope.

I'm going to be there. I already know that Jonny and Tom will be there for the screening and the buzz is that others will be coming after. Anna will definitely there, most likely broadcasting and tweeting for sure. I won't be able to post much until Wed because I'll get home late and I'm leaving early tomorrow to watch some filming in Guelph with Hodge and some of the FB crowd.

If I remember the few scenes at the end of the previous episode correctly, the guy having the drink at the bar ends up in the morgue. I suspect he's been poisoned by tainted alcohol or something like that. But it could be anything at this point ;-).

Definitely much more down to earth with this ep. Never heard of Carrie Nation before so it was kind of fun to see her in AXEtion. (I'm so clever) Liked how Rebecca has gotten introduced to the team and is getting included more in the actual cases. There will probably be some who say they saw a spark between her and George...but I really doubt they are planning on making a romance there, though it would certainly allow for a lot of controversy (in the show only, hopefully). If they do go that route...George REALLY needs to pick a new place to meet (living) women. Bobby must have been hiding in the cupboard to get away from Nation. That's why we didn't see him. At least Brax mentioned his other changeling son... The case itself was one of those roundabout ones where the reason wasn't at all what you were expecting. But it reminds me of a certain other episode in S4...but I won't mention the name cuz that would give it away for all those who read this without first watching. Anyway, now we have to wonder if Murdoch ended up wasted (on spruce beer, of course) at the end...and someone should write that fic...but not me.

Was that a period fire hydrant? i didn't notice myself, but someone on twitter said they've had them since 1842...so if one was there, it was probably fine

*Spoilers*
Who switched out the gin?
The killer? or did he have an accomplice?
Murdoch kept saying no one but the barkeep (and later the wife) had an opportunity to do it, so when could the killer have done it?
But they didn't mention an accomplice...so unless they cut another scene...I'm probably overthinking this and the killer did switch it out on his own some time in-between the dead guys visits.
Also, was it just me, or was the wife a really bad actress?
