I wonder who Brackenreid has in his sights: In the teaser you see a gun with the same barrel pointed at William. I don't want to jump to conclusions but it would suggest Brax has W in his sights. Doubt he intends to kill him though.

I can't believe he was stupid enough to say someone may not be coming back!

I can't believe he was stupid enough to say someone may not be coming back! The key is "may not".......it won't be the first time PM has played with the audience's emotions......
I'm really looking forward to this, but dreading it at the same time.....

This wasn't PM saying it, it was Greg David, I assume he was speculating.... PM's interview will be up after the broadcast.

Pretty much. Obviously, someone's fate is hanging in the balance and won't be resolved until the start of next season. My money is on William since it's his turn to be in danger. I'm excited as well, yet worrying about what may happen as well.

However, British shows average 6 episodes per season so he could still do MM if he's so inclined but it would be like this season, he wouldn't be in all the episodes. I'd like to see him as CC and Slorach come back as Inspector, I thought he was good in OTW 1&2. I don't see how it would work with W as inspector, I hope they don't promote him and bring Watts in as detective but I'm thinking they may and that's why Watts was introduced in S10.

The problem with William being Inspector is that it wouldn't be realistic to the time period.......he is an anomaly already being as high a rank as he is for a Catholic.....making Brackenreid Chief Constable and bringing in Slorach would be a workable solution, that way Thomas Craig could take episodes off without leaving as much of a hole......a caveat to this would be that we get the good, competent Slorach, not the buffoonish one.....
Another candidate for being bumped off would be Jackson. Orphan Black is doing well and I thought I heard a rumour that Kristian Bruun may be going south......
I guess we'll find out in a few hours......or not.......

In truth it's already not realistic to the time period but it's not supposed to be a documentary so maybe they could get away with it. I'd rather not have W as the inspector though, seems to be a waste of his detecting talents.

If they weren't going to be true to the time period in regard to the anti-Catholic bias in the Orange Lodge controlled Toronto, I don't think they would have introduced the subject in the first place, or referenced it in subsequent episodes......
