When Murdoch attends the crime scene at a wealthy house it appears that he has stepped into a typical murder mystery. All the characters are present – the victim, his grieving widow and two very different sons. Murdoch soon learns that the heart of this case does not revolve around the upper class rather than with the servants below the stairs who have a mix of emotions and grudges to bear.

"We belong, where we belong." Too true Dr Francis, too true! Favourite lines: "Oh good, a chart!" - Brackenreid on entering Murdoch's office and seeing him scrawling on the blackboard agan "You know Murdoch, there is more to life than this." Dr Francis was very much on form tonight. I shall actually quite miss him. Amused by the use of jello and it being 'all the rage in Buffalo' AND George and Murdoch inventing 'Cluedo' So Dr Francis has gone and Dr Ogden is back with her fiance Darcy. If he wasn't such a thoroughly decent guy it'd be much easier to dislike him!

*lol* He really is quite charming and selfless. I can see why Julia would want to marry him...even though it's obvious that it's Murdoch she loves. Everyone around them can see it, even Dr Francis saw it and he'd only just met her!

I loved the episode!! So glad to see Julia back but then sad to see Dr Francis leaving!...
It made a nice change to see someone butting heads with Murdoch. When Brackenreid was shouting at Murdoch towards the end of the episode was so funny too!

yay that julia is back even though it seems like Dr. Francis left before he even really thought about it. also kind of weird that Julia just immediately agrees to come back. i just found it odd that both doctors made such major decisions so quickly. but anyways, i'm both happy and sad for Murdoch at the same time cuz he finally has her back but now he's going to be tortured by her presence cuz he can't have her romantically. though i do hope that since the writers had her come back so quickly it means that they intend to get them back together again by the end of the season.

Yeah, I agree that Dr. Francis' exit was hasty and Julia's return was, too. I thought Julia was happy in her work in Buffalo and she was unhappy with it so recently in Toronto. I mean I can see how she might have been disillusioned by what happened in Buffalo Shuffle but we didn't really see her decide that she wanted to leave due to it. And Darcy was way too quick to say let's move here. He has no way of knowing if there's a job available at the Children Hospital of Toronto. This episode just did feel rushed to me. I think it probably had to do with the actor who played Dr. Francis being unavailable after this episode. He probably only had time to be in a few episodes and that confines the writing. I am glad Julia is back, of course. And I loved Crabtree and Murdoch "inventing" Clue! I love that game! And I loved the way Murdoch said Jell-O. Totally funny and pretty ingenious of Julia to come up with it as a mold substance.

Maybe all is been so soon because the show has only 13 episodes, they need to do all in few episodes, generally the other shows has 20 or more episodes.. However I think Julia miss William and the other guys in Toronto and she realizes she is happy in Toronto and not in Buffalo..maybe there was not good as she thought..

Perhaps there's more to this than meets the eye... It did seem extremely rushed but maybe the writers have alterior motives?

I just watched this episode again and I am wondering if what many of us thought was Darcy being surprisingly open-minded and bending over backwards to accommodate Julia (even putting the idea in her head to return to Toronto) may be actually him realizing that she and Murdoch have unfinished romantic business. He saw the way they looked at each other. Maybe Darcy is unsure of her feelings for him and wants to observe her with Murdoch more before he gets into a marriage with Julia. I wonder if in the next episode the feathers will hit the fan and he will confront Julia about what he suspects are her feelings for Murdoch before he and Julia are to marry.
