YB's facial expressions are pure genius-he conveys more about who William is more than he ever could through words. Brilliant. Elsewhere I've commented that I think YB's facial acting is actually better than his vocals. And that's probably why he's largely under-appreciated: people tend to notice the vocal acting first, since that's the most basic. Totally agree. His expressions alone could fill a master class on acting.

I came to this series thinking he got the role because of his looks, and he may well have, however he's turned me into a believer and I'll now watch anything he's in. MM would not be what it is today without Yannick's brilliant acting.

Well there is a YBAS on fb and it's open so you don't have to join to read. I've seen one episode of Napkin Man, it would be great if it wasn't for the kids!!

I would certainly be interested in watching whatever he does in the future - though I hope that doesn't imply leaving MM. I passed by one forum trying to pimp him as a great Reed Richards - yeah, but he's William Murdoch right now!!!

I kinda think he's gonna do a lot more directing once he's done MM...this could be one of the last major roles he ever plays!

I'd certainly watch anything he's in in the future, but hope MM carries on for many more years yet. I did see much of Sue Thomas but didn't know who he was, it didn't stretch him. I knew about NTGFaC but didn't watch it as it was about cowboys, I'd like to see it now. As far as movies I really want to see Nothing Really Matters. I hope it's released in the future, perhaps as there's an interest it will be released soon.

I didn't think I'd like NTGFaC and the pilot was super hokey and annoying imo but it quickly got better after that ( with a lot of shirtless Yannick scenes ) and pretty soon I was out of eps. There's actually a fair number of similarities to his cowboy character as there is with Murdoch, but Rich almost has an out of William persona all the time. Never got into Sue Thomas though...the hallmark pilot turned me off forever.

I have a feeling he probably learned a lot from the people he worked with on that show. The shirtless parts also make it totally worth watching.

The biggest problem with Sue Thomas (besides the fact it was aiming for that Christian-Country Conservative Heartland audience) was that it tried waaaaaaaaaaaay too hard to ship Sue and Jack. I'm not convinced the chemistry was even there. I think I'd rather have seen Jack already in a relationship and let Sue develop a sisterly concern for him: then she would get to hug him a lot (because he's cute!). As it was, she couldn't hug him, because there was sexual tension, and hugging might mean something. Dang. They would have made great BFFs.

Another ep a day! Now that I'm past Buffalo Shuffle I'm, as the Inspector said, happier than a pig in its own filth until the last episode of the season 1. Whyyyy does Dr. Francis have to go away. Whyyyyyyyyy. I cannot express how much I love how annoyed William is by him. It's not often William is truly just irritated to his core over something but Dr. Francis does just that to him. 2. This is the episode where I thought Julia was being kind of mean, showing up out of nowhere after she'd totally crushed him. She clearly showed up at the Jenkins house as she knew William would be there. 3. The way William pronounces Jell-o cracks me up. 4. I loooove when William got angry with Miss Allen. 5. The blue/red tint applying to whether William was truly there or if he is imagining being there is holding up for season 4! It even goes as far as applying to other character's memories.
