Eclair once again comes through with the brilliant observation: When William is first questioning Eva in the interrogation room, Eva distracts him by lifting her skirts and ostentatiously crossing her ankles. William tries not to notice, but his "scurry" remark shows that he's imagining something very interesting... Anyway, Eclair noted: "Basic Instinct!" Of course - how did I miss that on the first 5 viewings! I just watched this scene again and I really didn't notice anything. Seems to me that William has her number now. I could be completely missing it but if I am it's so subtle it completely goes over my head. I didn't think I was that unobservant especially when I'm specifically watching for something. Eclair just meant the minute when Eva flashed her ankles was the equivalent of Sharon Stone flashing that she wasn't wearing any underwear in Basic Instinct. That does seeme equivalent to me.

As I haven't seen that movie it went over my head. I thought there was more to it than that. Glad I didn't miss anything.

1. William didn't seem bothered at all by Julia's hastiness to get away from him 2. I haven't decided what to think of William's reaction when Eva flashes her ankles. He lets out a small laugh as if he's read her like a book and isn't impressed, yet he spent a good few seconds looking before he reacted. 3. Emily pretending like that kiss was nothing. Yeah, ok, sure. Poor George, he deserves much better! 4. I absolutely love when William laughs at the other Cassie Chadwick taking the Inspector's wallet. Angry Brack is my favorite. 5. William has horrible luck when he puts himself out there. No wonder he doesn't very often, he gets shot down a lot of the time when he does.

In this episode I don't agree with how George reacts to Emily. In the scene where Emily kisses Leslie, I felt that she was thinking fast to prevent the operation from been blown by Leslie's presence in the station. For what I seen from the episode, it does not address why Leslie Garland at the station in the first place. Was he reporting a crime? Was he a witness/suspect to a crime? This form what I can tell.
Emily was right in that George has no right to judge her for kissing Leslie when George the exact same thing with the actress in episode 3 of season 3.
Once again George fails to communicate his feels to Emily. I feel that if George simply shared his feelings to Emily and told her what she means to him.
