Ah okay.
I don't think I'll be alive in 3014. Is there any way that I could get the episode sooner than that?

I missed the ep. D:
I'll watch it online tomorrow- but I have to know. What happened with the William/Julia/proposal/Gillies thing? I don't care about spoilers.
Let me guess: she didn't accept his proposal and didn't tell him about the threats made to her, thusly breaking his heart and giving Julia-dislikers everywhere fuel for their fire.
God, if I'm right... I'm going to punch a wall. I'd even prefer if she told him. They could watch each other's backs, and while there would be f ear and disappointment, no hearts would truly be broken.
This show is getting too predictable, I swear.

I liked the sting. Basically any time there's a con I like it cuz you never really know what's going on or who is playing who. I liked the hilarious outfits and accents. Higgins overacted his part so much it was amazing. His incompetence streak is ongoing. While funny, I kind of wish it would stop. It was also funny how Brax got infatuated with yet another famous (infamous in this case) lady! That's got to be like the fifth one since the show started. Strangely things didn't end well with her. (do they ever?)
Not a good ep for the couples. But I think everyone was expecting that (at least to some degree) given last weeks ending. Still it was pretty devastating when the predictable horrible event(s) happened. Like I said last week, it will be Brax who will come to the rescue!
My only real complaint was that it ended on another (dare I say worse) cliffhanger and we have to wait 5 weeks! :/
One super important question. When did they change the phones? (seriously though, I wanna know).

I love Awkward!Murdoch.
Perhaps the 5 weeks suggests the real time William will remain hungover after finishing Brackenreid's scotch? I don't see him getting out of bed for a week at least.

Alright, thoughts for this week, let's talk about happy things first. Overall it was a very good episode, I've never seen the actress Wendy Crewson before but she was absolutely terrific, a perfect con artist, very witty, funny and even manipulated our dear Inspector who after all is just a man who can't resist a beautiful lady's attention. It was a great way to finally get rid of Eva Pierce and I'm glad to see that this cold-hearted and greedy person finally gets what she deserves. I did love the scene were Higgins plays the lawyer and Brackenreid & Murdoch listen to what's happening, the joy on their faces as they set the trap was hilarious to see.
Now regarding the characters' relationships, as I said several times I'm not really interested in the Emily/George's duo but somehow I felt bad for them (I still think Emily should take a stand about who she wants to be with but it was hard to see George going through this situation, he doesn't deserve this). I did like Brackenreid pushing him to not let the person he wants go away, he's such a softy when it comes to his colleagues' romantic lives. Finally for the most difficult part (for me anyway). I did love that Julia started to investigate on her own, but with that second note I'm lost as to who's behind that trap. I expected an outcome like this for the end but it was still very hard to watch, when he was on his knee and she was forced to refuse his proposal, these 2 keep breaking my heart even after all these years…But now that I'm starting to read others' theories I have to admit that some of them could be on point (like Julia told William & they are in this together to catch Gillies or whoever set that trap for them;…after all why would he propose in the middle of the street), so as usual I'll remain my optimistic self, we still have 5 more episodes to go and I do believe that after all this suffering we "William & Julia fans" will get our happy moment, we just need to be a tiny bit more patient. It will be a long month of February but we'll make it. Sorry in advance for the incredibly long post, but I did have lots of feelings regarding this episode, which is a good thing though.

Poor William and Julia. Yes, Julia should've told William but she's scared he'll get killed if she does. She's broken up with him to save him. Or she believes that. I'm more convinced it's Lesley really behind all this. I have faith that W/J will discover the truth and reunite before S7 ends. But another proposal going badly wasn't fun to watch. The writers love torturing them.
George and Emily breaking up was expected. I'm hoping they don't reunite. Lesley isn't a good guy and she's going to get hurt. It's her own fault. Kissing Lesley in front of George was horrible. Her getting upset at being dumped is too little and too late. It's unconvincing and seems more about her not liking being the one dumped.
It was nice to see Wendy Crewson in this episode. I like her acting. Brackenreid needs to quit flirting with suspects, his wife wouldn't like it and he always makes a fool of himself. Eva trying to flirt with William were a complete waste of time. Julia is the only woman he see's. I'm glad she was finally caught. Higgins getting to do something bigger in a story was nice. He's a fool but I think he's really funny.

Sorry in advance for the incredibly long post, but I did have lots of feelings regarding this episode, which is a good thing though. you know you could be on to something! murdoch says at the beginning of the ep that he will never imbibe again (or something to that effect) but then he goes downing a shot after confiding in the inspector that he was going to propose. now, why would he do either of these things when for all he knew, julia wasn't even in town! i was puzzled about this apparent discrepancy before but seen in the light that they were coning the blackmailer (inspiration from the case?) it could make sense! (rather than just being a goof). and the fact that they were in the street was highly suspect too like you say. julia was aware that someone was stalking her, hence the photo at the opera, so it was conceivable they would be watching again. and if we don't get a proposal by the end of the season, all i can say is the producers/writers will be seriously pushing their luck with a large part of the fandom.

This was a quite enjoyable episode although I didn't relish watxhing poor George getting a sling through the heart.
Who ever sent those notes to Julia probably suspected how she would react by trying to investigate on her own.

To answer your first question...yes, yup, yep and yeppers. I'm pretty certain they will sort things out over a short arc. I'm still looking forward to what I'm sure will be a very happy end of the season (for J/W) but I don't expect that they will hand it to us on a silver platter. Don't punch too big of a hole in that wall. Wallboard patching is a pain in the .......
