In "Anything You Can Do", William loses his homburg when running to the barn. I think he may say something about losing his hat, too - but it's hard to tell since there is a lot of shouting and shooting going on. Later, when running from the barn, William lacks the protective powers of the homburg: so of course bullets no longer go around him. This time he gets shot. However, the bullet hits the book on Poetry Symbolism that he pinched from Julia's morgue. The book is written by someone named Faith, so technically William was saved by Faith and Symbolism, lol. I'm not sure whether we're talking about Divine Faith or Faith in his love for Julia here, since William is about to take a big chance on declaring his feelings, despite the fact that Julia is apparently dating - and having a very good time with - Reginald Poundsett. Anyway, I got two of my favorite things out of what looked like such an innocent Western shootout scene: the evidence of the magic homburg and some surrealist symbolism. Rock on, Murdoch Mysteries!  |

You brought up another point that I always have issues with...
Why do all the bad guys have the worst aim ever, when they are familiar with shooting and guns in general and the good guys have great aim, even when it's their first time holding a bloody gun?!

I've been thinking, we should have our own episode rating system, by Homburg of course. A 5 "Homburg" rating is the best. We'd need tiny little homburg pics though.

Maybe set up each ep as a poll? Having people on this site, each rate the episode? You know, I think they were doing that in the early seasons on this site. Fave episode, etc.....but it was a bar graph I think. Check out the sections for the early seasons. |

I've been thinking, we should have our own episode rating system, by Homburg of course. A 5 "Homburg" rating is the best. We'd need tiny little homburg pics though. This cake looks freaking awesome. 100th episode, eh, a milestone. It bears the hallmark of team work and a great team we have with the MM crew. Did Pendrick design this? It's come adorned with his electric car (bullet) and his famous Swiss clock wheel. Congratulations Team MM. Wishing for 100s more episodes to come.
