....and we're back to forum limit exceeded...  Lol - what on earth did you post?! (I can't see on my Kindle, and I'm out all day today). I removed 3 animated gifs- that should have allowed us to attach random pics for a while. Anyway, this may become an ongoing crisis, so one thing you could do for your screencap project is get a photobucket account and upload the pics there instead of here. Then embed them here with the image button. I only tried to put one picture up! I know you freed up space but overnight the fanfic vid was posted and quoted. I'm having conversations with my guys about what happens to attachment space if the original vid is duplicated when you use the quote button. We do that a lot here. I can try the photobucket thing but I'm not sure why I have to do that. Does it make each image smaller in a data usage sense? Currently all my screencaps are sitting in files in 'pictures' on my laptop. |

You brought up another point that I always have issues with... Why do all the bad guys have the worst aim ever, when they are familiar with shooting and guns in general and the good guys have great aim, even when it's their first time holding a bloody gun?! I know what you mean. This seems to be a thread that runs through every genre. |

I agree. The homburg is THE perfect symbol. I am particularly fond of the image of William avec homberg in shadow profile just before he walks into SH4 at the end of The Murdoch Identity. Sadly, not enough time right now to cap it. Love this... That image was only 39 kb - I cleared a few thousand. Something is weird here. Did anyone attach something but not insert it into a post? |

I didn't do so last night because I wanted to find out what happened to the previous space first. Something very suspicious happened. Like could some spam program be uploading image attachments? Anyway, I don't want to keep removing our old images just to lose the space all together. I'll clear a bit more - brb. |

Thanks snacky, oh Goddess of Computer Wizardry ! Eclair and I just got to The Tesla Effect last night so this is a double-scoop of "Wear's My Hat?" hahahah!  I agree, it's a theme now. Ziggy had a great point about what would happen if someone took William's hat away. Like FallenBelle's tie-angst fanfic - that might actually be too horrible to contemplate for MM television, in a way seemingly more "angsty" things (someone having a very, very, very bad day then getting shot) which would seem to be much worse would still be okay within the MM style. The reason is that homburg has such tremendous symbolic importance, that it could be subconsciously extremely threatening. (At least to long time viewers). Or...in the right context...it could prime viewers to say to themselves: "uh oh. these guys are in BIG trouble now..." |
