This is going to be good. I think as much as George keeps silent, it will draw William closer. He will be very dissatisfied with George's plea of Nolo Contendre and we know from the trailer that William investigates the murder at the prison. I think there will be some interesting plot twists with this one.
Free Crabtree...all the hype this summer has been making me laugh. Even Maureen Jennings was getting in on it.
Sorry, I can't get the dropbox link to work. It's a photo of Maureen riding in the Pendrick Bullet holding a sign that says "Free Crabree".

LOL, there should have been more Free Crabtree shirts this summer. The image link will only work if there is an image file extension such as "jpg" at the end. I assume the Nolo Contendere plea is why George was in prison for so long instead of immediately executed. The only thing I can imagine is that a plea bargain was possible because there wasn't enough evidence and/or conflicting evidence. Otherwise, any murderer would just say "nolo contendere" to escape the death penalty.

Under the Canadian system, no one can plead Nolo Contendere......if someone does, a Not Guilty plea is entered on their behalf and the case is tried on that assumption......

Tweets make it look like an awesome ep. I was worried because there was a tradition of some big cinematic element in the season opener, and the fate of George seems like a regular mystery. Can't wait until I get to view it. I just realized I have no crumpets at home. T_T At least I still have absinthe from my birthday 2 years ago....!

On my third viewing......great episode with some interesting twists and turns......I won't spoil things, but George doesn't quite find happiness......(and, no, Lillian didn't do it.....)

I've only seen it twice and it wasn't a big cinematic style opener this season, however as lizmc said interesting twists and turns and already more kisses that all of last season! Loved the scenes with Giles. I hope we get to see him again, he's mellowed, guess that's what jail does to you.

Well, it's been awhile...looks like the usual suspects are still hanging around. So hey!
I've only seen it once and I'll say it was enjoyable for many reasons. Lots of Jilliam love both romantically and professionally. Giles was his amazing witty no nonsense self. The case wasn't totally clear cut from the beginning. Finding the suspect was an interesting process too. Unfortunately, no spies, which I was led to believe there would be.
I'm not sure how I feel about the ending though. I feel like there was only one reason to do things that way and while predictable, I kind of hoped they wouldn't go back down that road again. But perhaps I'm reading into it more than I should and it isn't what it appears to be. But CBC likes to please their fans, so it probably is what it appears to be.
Anyway, it's good to be back. And now I can have my brain melted by Snacky and her amazingly long winded, somewhat crazy theories about everything.

If they don't get back together then Emily will probably leave for London...and be off the show. Though I suppose it's not likely he'd be interested in her again within 3 weeks of having his heart broken. So if not this scenario, I'm not sure why Emily would stay. I guess she could just change her mind. Or Lilian could screw up epically/die. Plenty of people would love to see that I'm sure.

I wasn't at the filming but lovemondays was plus the photos were on fb. I won't spoil it for you.

Maybe she gets shot right after that.

Or maybe there's a heist or something and Lilian gets herself killed.
